I liked Ghost Protocol, but the finale in the car park was weak. The villain was silly as well. Really? He wants to start a nuclear war because… Why? And where on earth does he get all the funding for his bizarre plans to start a nuclear war? He wasn't a billionaire or anything to start with, just some kind of nuclear arms analyst. Never made sense to me.

Bumping since I think spoilers are OK now.

Enjoyed it but thought it was definitely too long. Felt like two hours in was a perfect time to end the movie. That would have been pretty compelling especially since a major character dying then would have potentially brought people back for the next movie (a trilogy).

Cruise spent a little too much time running. Not sure that was a self aware parody (probably not).

Overall good and better in a theater than streaming. Not a perfect movie. Probably 8 out of 10.

Agree. Not the best but really good. Enjoyed the train scene. I expected a Ford Pinto to fall past them at any point. shite just kept falling. I started laughing at one point.

****SPOILERS****

I did not feel it was a long movie, but I do agree that it would have been more of a cliff-hanger and better ending point had they planned the Ilsa's death to be the end of Part 1.

Saw it Monday thought it was pretty good. I watched all the old ones last week in preparation and kinda burned myself out, plus it’s tough for any movie to measure up 3 days after seeing Oppenheimer

Did anyone find the flow of dialogue and the finishing of each other's sentences tk be off putting?

I just streamed it at home and holy shite I enjoyed it.

The pacing was absolutely perfect for an action movie. Liked the MI1 callbacks as well

Overall it was good. Just those scenes where they spoke in an ethereal manner and finished each other's sentences bothered me

The motojump was underwhelming.

I really enjoyed this movie, but I don’t think it had the big signature stunt sequence we’ve seen in past MIs. The motojump was good, but it was spoiled in the trailer. The train sequence was pretty good too, but I felt like I’d seen that same scene before in other movies.

Wife and I got around to watching this last night.

I guess my opinion of what comprises a good movie doesn't align with the mainstream anymore. We both thought the movie was terrible.

The acting was terrible and the story was terrible. It's just a formula-based overproduced, overstimulated Hollywood blockbuster that is just a series of action scenes connected together by a weak story.

Just my opinion.

I thought it was too long and the formula of the last three movies has run its course. The plot is beyond ridiculous. Fun to see Henry Czerny. Won’t be that interested in the second part.
