I enjoyed it and it didn't feel like 2 and a half hours. But I wasn't that big on it compared to some others in the series. I thought it was a bit over the top on the various fighting scenes. I know, I know... MI is always over the top. Just seemed like it was a bit too cliche in parts.

I just got out. It was fun, really enjoyed it, but I definitely started feeling the runtime on this one. It could've easily been 20 mins shorter. Some of the AI talk was a bit too cheesy as well, but the action scenes rocked.

That train sequence was so cool

Felt a lot like the very first Mi movie.

Yeah a bit long. Also Gabriel was pretty bland compared to Solomon.

I got caught up on the last three MI movies a few days ago and I went and saw this new one opening night. I really liked it!

Can't wait for part two.

Fallout was a "10" for me. Simply stunning.

Dead Reckoning Part 1? "7.5" - great action scenes and tech, decent plot, but just not as gripping a story or as coherently fun. A few too many shallow characters involved for me to really love the movie.

Saw it last night. Excellent. Only "knock" is that it's the first part of a 2 parter, so you're missing a resolution and the story seems (and is) unfinished. Cannot wait for Part Two.

Just got out and yes it's awesome. I know atwell is hot but man Rebecca Ferguson just does it for me

Knew Ilsa was a goner (which sucks, because RF does it for me too) when I realized all of her scenes from the commercial were in the first 1/2 of the movie.

And Atwell is great (and gorgeous). Her eyes (and they ways she emotes with them) is impressive.

I wonder how the SAG strike may have influenced this?

ETA, it's getting great reviews/word of mouth. It will have legs.

Fallout is still the best imo. I’d rank this one behind both Fallout and Ghost Protocol.

Was a little pissed they killed off Illsa and it ruined the rest of the film going forward for me, even though Haley Atwell did a great job. Seemed like Rebecca got fridged unless it’s another death fake out.

1. Fallout
2. Rogue Nation
3. MI 3
4. MI 1
5. Ghost Protocol
6. Dead Reckoning 1
7. MI 2

DR 1 at #6 will get a lot of down votes, but that repetitive Key thing, weak team dynamic and humor (Luther and Benji stuff was just ok, not great), and vague villain didn't feel like it stacked up to previous MI greatness.

Oh yeah, and Ilsa >>> Grace in character, back story, bad-assery, beauty and chemistry with Ethan. Beauty is obviously personal preference and quite subjective.

It shouldn't, nothing wrong with having it there. It shows the strength of the franchise that this one could be near the bottom of the list. And I agree with your criticisms.

Rebecca Ferguson is arguably the 3rd most attractive woman in that movie and that’s wild.

The Entity is The Ring

Anyway, very fun movie. 8/10. Fun is the word.

It kind of reminded me of a 90s James Bond movie. Like Goldeneye. Really fun.

Why does he reload his arms?

I read an interview about it, he said they were doing so many takes that his arms were getting tired, it wasn’t in the fight choreography but it looked cool so they kept it in.

5. Ghost Protocol

Protocol is exactly what I want in an MI movie.

Fun, comedic, great action and a simplified story. I think that movie hit the sweet spot of what MI is or should be, while trying to find its way all these years.

I enjoyed the hell out of it and AtWell was a big reason. She was excellent as a skilled thief in over her head but who ultimately comes around to the team.
