Back in the day a good High School friend of mine and I would always reenact the "You have no Marbles" scene from Major League when we played baseball on the same little league team - It was when the movie first came out or close to that time.

So today on his birthday thing on FB (yea I know, no need to lecture me) I posted a happy birthday post with a pic of that part of the movie.

While searching for that part of the movie on YouTube, I finally found it and I could not believe how many people in the comment section have a) never watched the movie or b) never even heard of the movie - probably close to 100 people - WTF!

I always thought that Major League was one of the all time best comedies ever created. Is the movie not really as popular as I assumed it was?

"Are you tryin' to say Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?" is still one of the funniest lines I've ever heard in a film. That actor (Chelcie Ross - great character actor from OKC) just delivers the frick out his whole "way past his prime, stick up his arse" pitcher, but that line is his best of the movie, and he has several good ones.

While not in the category of Caddyshack 2, Major League 2 is a bad caricature of of Major League...which is a classic. The OP shouldn't ridicule the public for not being enamored with mostly crappy movie.

Major League is a very funny movie, loved it.

It should NEVER have had a sequel, much less multiple ones. They fell well short of the original's mark.

That's because Major League 2 is a steaming pile of shite. It was basically straight to VHS. They tried to put this thing in movie theaters in 1994 which is a top 3 year at the movie theaters. They went the "Hot Shots" route and made it a parody as opposed to the complete bad assery that was Major League.

OP, you used a gif from a shitty movie and you should feel bad.

“He’ll need a rocket up his arse to catch that one “

Whenever someone’s talking about a stacked team in whatever sport I always say “ yeah.. juggernaut.. powderkeg” like the superfans do in the outfield

Uecker has been the best thing about the Brewers for decades.

There is a YouTube clip out there of him talking about the furry convention taking place at the Brewers’ team hotel.

Bad thread title. For a blink, I though that this could be about them remaking it. No one wants that.

With apologies to SaintsEB below, I think Uecker is the reason that they do need to make a Major League 3. (And in before someone claims “Back to the Minors” was ML3)

He’s not going to be around forever.

It’s in my top 5 all time.

It’s was right in my wheelhouse as an 8 year old with HBO and no parents around.

To this day, every single time somebody hits a pop up I say “Too high”
