Another easter egg from The Sign episode is the DJ at the wedding reception is the music guy that plays the musical tubes during the Dance Mode episode. Happened to catch that myself because we saw the Dance Mode episode right after The Sign and it was a "wait a minute" moment.

Good catch. I didn't think about that.

He is also in two other episodes. He is the guitar player in Markets, and he has a brief cameo in The Quiet Game, buying an ice cream as they head into the toy store. In that one, he pays for the ice cream with the $5 bill Bluey gave him in Markets (look close and you can see the sticker).

I also love how things circle back, even after multiple episodes. Someone earlier in the thread mentioned Stumpfest. In that one, Chilli talks about wanting the stumps gone so she can put in a fish pond. She finally gets it in Tradies.

But Top 5 episodes I need to check out? If not 5, then 10?

Like others have said, it is tough to narrow down to any easy list.

Like I said, I've watched a few episodes here and there with my kid, but I've started to catch onto a lot of stuff.

He wanted to learn to play "Chest" so we got a chess board and he knows a little.

He learned to floss (the dance) from watching the show

We play keepy uppy

"It's from Bluey" uttered by my wife or I to the other is easily one of the 10 most common phrases in our neighborhood/friend group

the character who’s always playing music in the show is based on the composer for the Joff Bush

Angry Granny is in my top 5 it is straight up hilarious. Anything with muffin I like. The Creek and the music in it soothes my brain. I love quoting Wagon Ride "your up early" "got to be done".

Muffin is the sleeper MVP of the show. That kid is going to run a hedge fund one day .

What's the one where they can't seem to get out the door to the park because the thing is stuck on the ceiling? It's hilarious.

The reaction my wife and I had to seeing Chili's sister pregnant is the ultimate indication of the greatness of the show. She was in an 8 minute episode and hardly ever mentioned in other episodes as far as I remember. Yet, we both yelled "Chili's sister is pregnant!", when we saw her.

The Sign actually created a tough morning in our house. My 4 year old cried for half an hour because she asked if she would live here forever, then that lead to talks of us and heaven. It was brutal, but it's why Bluey is great.

There's a Bluey for that too. Go watch Flat Pack. Each stage of "evolution" Bingo as the child gets older, until the end when they build the city and Bingo takes off, Bluey goes up with Chilli and Bandit and Bandit says "this is Heaven."

True. Muffin Cone is awesome too. Especially how quickly she starts sucking her thumb when they take the cone off.

I picked Library for a meet the Heelers list because that is Muffin in a nutshell. Plus having the lion in the animal book eat Fluffy has me cracking up every time I see it.

Best secondary character and neighbor in history. Luckys Dad is always down to participate in any shenanigans the kids or Bandit throw at him and he does it without thinking and then moves on with his day like nothings wrong. Every time.

Most episodes do.

Rug Island, Sleepytime, Granddad, and Hammerbarn are my favorites. We stopped watching* before season three so I haven’t seen any of the newer episodes.

*My girls and I would watch every morning while I made and we ate breakfast. The problem is that we’d get too distracted and would have to rush to get ready to leave on time.

ETA I work from home 3 days a week and may have to binge the series to get up to speed.

My top five in no particular order

Sleepytime
Baby Race
Rain
Flat Pack
Cricket

Sleepytime and Baby Race are the two most recent episodes of any show that have had me tearing up. If you struggle with comparison/insecurity as a young parent Baby Race is the episode for you. Or if bedtime is always an adventure, Sleepytime

Rain
the scene where bluey is desperately trying to squeeze in the door with her mom trying to block her out and her tail going furiously gets me every time.

also when they're both blocking the water and their tails start going.

Its been amazing so far. But the moment they add a trans kid I’ll be done. I don’t think we will have to worry about that though because it seems Australia is very hesitant against normalizing trans stuff

I don't think we could ever get a show this good that was made in the US anymore. Maybe not even anywhere except a place like Australia. They are fairly progressive politically, but it seems like they haven't lost the sense that shows on public channels shouldn't divide people needlessly by making political stances that no one is forcing you to make. Or at least the people who make Bluey feel that way for now.

I know quite a few Aussies personally, they are just amazing people with an incredible sense of humor that you just don't get from someone in a country as divided as the US or as depressing to live in year roung as the UK. So get Aussies to make something like Bluey, but maybe sit out on producing depressing shite like Black Mirror

this. why is this so hard for people to understand?

i know why..all these media companies are infested with mentally ill people w/ purple hair and white karens who constantly wring their hands.

i watched part of the 1 hour 'apology special for no black people' from the producers of Friends a couple months ago and just shook my head at how everyone is required to grovel and apologize for literally everything.

EVERYTHING DOESNT HAVE TO BE ALL POLITICAL ALL THE TIME
