Marines are a department of the Navy. If you ask them they will tell you they are the men’s department.

They're working on starting one, they just haven't stolen enough equipment from the Army and Navy yet to supply an entire team.

Yes, the US Naval Academy. Graduates from the Naval Academy enlist in either the US Navy or the US Marine Corps. The US Marine Corps is a branch of the US Navy

the US Merchant Marines is a completely different thing than the US Marine Corps

i already said this, i was told the navy is their football team because they are part of the navy even though people always think of them as a separate branch of service

Because we are a separate branch of service. The Department of the Navy just overseas both Navy and Corps.
