I started playing Disc Golf in January. My friends and I are hooked. Any other players here?

Me. I played earlier today. I'm older so I'm not long off the tee but when my approaches are on (which they usually are) I can still score well.

Ive been playing for 20 plus years.

I play pretty frequently, not a big fan of highland, good course but too many other things going on there.

I play solomon in robert a lot, i really like bogue chitto as well.

Best course in Louisiana is parc des families in marrero though.

Do you bring a couple tall boys of craft beer and some weed each time you play? They have a disc golf course around the local soccer fields and the smell of weed isn't uncommon.

Have you had a chance to play at the Broussard Baseball/Soccer complex?
I just started last year and I lose 2 discs on average at that park either in the water or the woods.
I can only compare it to Acadiana Park and Girard park in Lafayette but that Broussard course is tough.

I started playing a bit over a year ago. I suck but damn it’s fun.

I play with some dudes that have been going for years and they’ve shown me a lot. I just don’t have time to get out and practice like I’d like to.

When I was in HS we used to have cross country practice there sometimes. I legit didn't know it was a frisbee golf course, I thought it was just guys throwing the frisbee around. So one time their frisbee landed near me so I just picked it up and threw it back to them, thinking nothing of it. The guy just mean mugged me for like a minute so I asked my teammate what his deal was and that's when I realized they were playing disc golf and I fricked up his throw

Same, I come from a baseball background and can sling it forehand. Backhand, not so much.

St Julien park, yes Ive played there. Probably my favorite course in the Lafayette area. I like that early water hole, either hole 2 or 3 I think it is.

Been playing for a few years. Great way to enjoy beautiful park and weather. Plus the discs aren’t that expensive and there isn’t any kind of fee to play

Foot. If I play 18 I get a 2.5-3 mile walk in. Scratches on my legs too if I throw into those damned palmettos.

I play. I didn’t play much this summer, though. Too hot to enjoy it. My friends and I will probably start playing again in a couple weeks.

Seems like a fun way to get recreational exercise. The wife always has us hiking, think I’m going to make her do this before I agree to blaze another trail.

It’s a blast. If you do start throwing with midrange discs and putters. You can still throw them pretty far and they’ll be more forgiving discs to learn with. Not everyone has the strength or arm speed to throw 11 speed and up. My max is about a 9 speed. Accuracy is more important than gripping it and ripping it.
