When I go to the gym in the morning I'll jump on the Rogue Echo Bike and see what it says for watts. With arms and legs I probably won't match those numbers.

Jonas back on the bike today. Dauphine is out but the Tour is still a possibility.

I keep wondering if Jumbo might try to get Jonas to La Vuelta and skip the Tour. Pog is probably getting the double. La Vuelta gives Jonas two different grand tours, and he could open next year at the Giro to try and get all three, while Pog goes for La Vuelta next year. Would be quite a story for cycling.

Pog’s last 2 KM today. Just toying with everyone with literally zero effort.
It’s insane how much better he is than anyone else in this race by a long shot. If he wasn’t about to win the TDF next month as well he could win this one by 20 minutes easily.

Just got caught up.

Pog and UAE are giving a masterclass so far. Pog just casually marking all those non-GC accelerations in the last 2 klics! I noticed when Rafel caught back up at about 500m to pace Pog he was deep in the misery of redline and Tadej was breathing no harder than I was sitting and watching.

I'm not sure about the topic yet, but I'm excited to be on a trip to Spain in February! My itinerary includes Madrid, Toledo, Seville, Granada, and Barcelona stops. I'm hoping to enhance my experience by visiting a location where I can get a firsthand view of a stage or finish area of the Vuelta. Even though the race won't occur then, I believe it would be incredible to witness the route with my own eyes.

Should have some Spanish one days and 3-4 day stage races occurring while you are there. Might be able to catch one.

I think Pogacar is going to be impossible to displace in this Giro. He is incredibly strong this season.

He has definitely dropped a few kilos this season. And yeah no one at this giro is within 5% of Pog.

Going from 13km out shows how much respect he has for the rest of the riffraff.

Thomas has class but not Pog class. Beating Thomas by almost 8 minutes with a week remaining…mind blowing how much better he is against this field.

Is it possible that Pogacar is peaked too soon or can he maintain this for another week, then a month "break", then the TDF for 21 days? I don't really know how long a guy like that can stay at his peak before the tank is empty.

Also, if he starts the TDF on fire, how many stages before people ask if he'll go for the triple? First four stages are: hills, hills, flat, mountains. If he's in yellow after stage 4, there may be some hype. Stage 7 is ITT.

I think after the Tour win or lose Pog will be focused on the World Championships considering the course this year. That's a bigger prize than the Vuelta.

But yeah, with reports that Jonas is ahead of schedule with his preparation after the crash, being a little undertrained going into the Tour could benefit him in the third week. The opening 9 days of the Tour to the rest day is not easy this year though.
