Probably the truth....there's some major saltiness going around in basketball these days....you see it in the WNBA with Caitlin Clark....is it secretly bigotry? Or just jealousy like Diana Taurasi?

I accidentally stumbled across Shannon Sharpes show on YouTube and they were saying Shaq hates every big man today. He apparently has issues and was still whining about Steve Nash.

It’s crazy that 10 years ago any one of these 4 would have won the MVP this season with the numbers they put up.

The pacing has the numbers super inflated right now, like the 1980’s.

He's insecure. Most people have him as a top 10 player of all time, but he's still incredibly insecure regarding his legacy. Jokic just won his 3rd MVP as a big man. Shaq is salty because he knows he only won 1 MVP in his career. He doesn't want another big man to have a better legacy than him.

Tbf, Shaq got hosed out of several MVP awards. The year Allen Iverson won over him was particularly egregious and he should have won it over in Karl Malone in ‘99 as well.

I am a huge Shaq fan, but he takes pettiness to a new level in these types of things.

Big man is an all time great and there likely won’t be another like him, but he can’t stand that other bigs are getting recognized because of the game being changed. If Shaq could hit a free throw consistently, he may have been the greatest of all time, but he just couldn’t get over that hurdle.

I honestly think a lot of the overblown love for Kobe after his death has also rubbed him the wrong way. People try to prop up Kobe now undeservedly simply because of his untimely death. He was an amazing player, but the credit he is being given now is just stupid.

Kobe could not win anything without a dominant big man for example. Hell, in his second set of titles he needed two and had to have Pao saved his arse in their last Finals only to see Kobe undeservedly get Finals MVP.

In the end, Jokic was significantly more deserving than the others and SGA, while playing great this year, is not that dominant. You keep posting his stats compared to guards in rankings yet Jokic has more assists than him as a center that doesn’t control the ball nearly as much as SGA. Jokic is responsible for more points per game than SGA.

Kid is good and it has been a phenomenal run for OKC, but I would not be shocked to watch them be a sub 4 seed in the coming years consistently.

ESPN had a headline

Jokic won "controversial" MVP -

Good grief ESPN can't get out of their way.

It's beyond pathetic at this point.

That three point percentage is above average he must shoot a lot of shots. I haven't really watched him

First words out of his mouth when interviewing Jokic were “congrats to you but SGA should’ve won”

Seriously man? What a dick

Has another marquee player even congratulated him yet? It’s crickets, I don’t get it

I hope Jokic puts up 40,20, and 15 tomorrow night and shoves it down their throats

Are you taking SGA? No, he does not take many 3’s. By comparison he took 269 in 75 games and Luka took 744 in 70 games.

Shaq could have like 7 or 8 MVPs if he had ever worked on his free throws

Great player? Absolutely.
MVP? nah. Not this year. He'll get it in the next year or two.

Barkley seems to be off the wall at times (he's just being himself unlike most people doing this job) but usually has some great takes and is very fair.

Shaq almost never does and is a petty bitch.

We know why some of them are not congratulating Jokic. Thankfully most of them are not like Shaq.

This is how I know you've never watched him play. If you had watched him play, you would know why he's been first team all-NBA the past two years and now runner-up for MVP.

TNT couldn't get the Joker's name out of their mouth as MVP before Shaq started ripping him. Very classless. Joker had to be a good sport just to give the interview.

However, I think it had to be somewhat embarrassing for the Joker to be getting hammered in the playoff when they tell you how great you are. Reminds me of when David Robinson won and they were playing Houston in the Playoffs. Hakeem Olajuwon destroyed him that same night and they knocked them out of the playoff.

Shaq has always acted like a petulant child but that was just a pathetic way for him to act towards Jokic.

Honestly, they may as well drop his arse from TNT if they are able to keep part of the NBA package. He doesn't bring shite to the studio team. His analysis is awful and all he ever does is talk trash or have temper tantrums at any perceived slight.

In the podcast they said, Shaq only has Shaq to blame for not winning more MVPs....he was famously lazy, would get massively out of shape in the off-season to the point Kobe and Phil Jackson constantly complained about it which caused the riff...Lakers should've won 5 titles in a row....but Shaq always had to "work his way into shape" during the season.

Shaq was just rude....

He actually told the MVP ( by a wide margin mind you) that he shouldn't have won it.

Ehh. He would be disingenuous if he was kissing Jokic's arse when they brought him on live immediately after just saying he thought someone else should've won.
