Robbed? IDK about that when you're listing stats as a main basis. Luka had more in each category. But MVP is such a fluid description today.

Can't really say robbed, the top 3 and Brunson all had a case. If Giannis, who finished 4th, had won then some people got robbed.

nah but its really due to the voters leaning towards advanced stats more than just raw stats, and Jokic pretty much dominates that across the board.

He been very open about being pissed that Nash won it over him in '06. He should be more pissed about losing in '01 but he probably gives AI more credit for getting to the Finals and stealing a game off them.

Lets review and ask where Doncic is getting a free pass. Its like now that Thunder are doing well talking points went out about FTs but conveniently left off Luka.
Games/FT’s attempted/Avg per game
Luka: 70 / 608 / 8.69 FT’s per game
SGA: 75 / 649 / 8.65 FT’s per game
And to add to those FT stats.
Luka took 744 3pt attempts
SGA took 269 3pt attempts
Now, isn’t it fair to assume when you drive the ball more you get fouled more? Less players are fouled on 3 point tries than 2. And look at the massive volume of 3’s for Luka compared to SGA. Luka is the defacto FT merchant.
We can cut the Harden comparisons or at least make Doncic the MVP of FT merchants

It took Jordan quite awhile to play like that instead of just being a one-man wrecking crew....where he won nothing in the playoffs.... Exciting to watch but hadn't mastered basketball until the 90s.

Jokic was deserving of another MVP, but I think Luka got a little shafted here.
If you look at statistics, there were at least 4 players deserving of an MVP this season.
Jokic, Luka, SGA, and Giannis.
It’s crazy that 10 years ago any one of these 4 would have won the MVP this season with the numbers they put up.
