This was described by the official in view as a "bang/bang play."

A floater out in the flat where the DB makes contact with the WR while the ball is 4 yards away at the perfect angle to be seen by said official.

That still shot is even more insulting as a still shot than the gif

Comparatively, umpires make what I would consider bang bang calls pretty accurately at 1st base.. when they have their eye on a much smaller baseball and traveling at a much greater speed

I’m not sure it changed the outcome because something bizarre still could have happened. But it influenced the way the game played out.

NFL integrity barely above boxing it's just entertainment, it's not a real game anymore.
