Im not mad at the guy, he got a call one day saying he was getting a pay raise with less responsibility. He probably asked if they wanted to know about how he works and Coach O said..."Nah, frick it, Im slaying this blond half my age and we just won a championship! So ima just YahYah Football it up. Just be at practice....if you want and we will go from there."

bullshite. He sat on his arse and was lazy. If you can't see that I don't know what to tell you. Everyone dealt with Covid last year what made Bo any different than the rest of the other DCs in the country? Don't you dare try to defend that POS. He took advantage of LSU and put up a historically bad defense for our pride and tradition. There's no excusing that. That's entirely on him.

Pelini should not be blamed solely for LSU's defensive problems last year! Covid definitely limited implementation of his defensive system. There was no spring training to incorporate verbal tutelage with actual player performance!
Furthermore the racial narrative set forth by BLM and the MSM, with the addition of all of the misguided Trump hate, made it very disadvantageous for a strong older white Male to succeed in implementing his system! Especially if you are a Saban-like "in you face disciplenarian" approach! The odds were stacked against any success for this type system under the TENSIONS" of 2020.
Coach Pelini will be blamed for the poor performance, but, as always, there is MORE to the story!!!

Except Bo Pelini wasn't hired by Ed O but by Scott Woodward instead. Which is why Ed O freely admitted he never even interviewed the dood because he wanted everybody to know that he wasn't the one that hired Bo Pelini to begin with.

Nah, he shouldn't have ever been hired because he hadn't coached a defense since in 2007 and was completely unprepared to stop modern spread offenses.
