Mandeville is having a phenomenal year.

I went to Barbe at Southside last year. Interviewed the coach (and Landon Victorian). I found him to be very gracious.

The LHSAA outlawed holding back once a kid entered 6th grade a long time ago. Used to be held back in 8th grade. OCS had a program called 8+ just for this. Everyone did it, some more than others. My mom quickly overruled my Dad on that one.

this changed, can hold back whenever you want. just cant turn 19 before senior year

Our ace has beat Catholic 2 years in a row and has shut down every game he pitched this year and our number 2 guy just No hit a scrappy Neville Team its going to be a good series

oh i expect it to be pitchers dual for sure. low scoring. Barbe does a good job of small balling pitchers like that.

they did it to flower mound at start of game and img.

we shall see how it goes. I expect tough games for sure.

Mandeville has an arm that's for sure. Their left handed hitting 2b leadoff hitter is scrappy as hell too. They are a really solid team.

It did, but they’re still trying to figure out what the new rule really means. I say that because what they said last year, basically made it impossible for anyone to holdback in middle school because the classes that made them ineligible, every kid took at least one of them.

Grab and Littleton would be a heck of a matchup but figured each team might try to cat and mouse different games for those two.

I turned 17 in September of my SR year, grew 3 inches and 20 lbs between then and my 18th birthday....wish I could have been held back.

I personally would hold back any son with a May-Sept birthday. I don’t see any harm. It has zero to do with sports either

not sure who it would be. they have bunch of arms that can give them innings, dunno if they have just a dude that can give a full game. they did, but not after injuries.

ASH headed down to Rummel on Friday. Hoping for a good showing. Don’t know much about them but seems they had a pretty deep district this year.

Brother Martin vs Curtis will be interesting. Curtis wants to play the games at Harahan playground. BM will fight against it.

BM has fought against it before. The playing surface is nice now. They made the fence look pretty. They still have a light pole in LC field, in the field of play. The visitor dugout still only holds about 8 teenagers, while the home dugout holds about 50. Seating still sucks. They still don't have a mound for the visiting team to warmup pitchers. The on deck circle is still practically on top of the hitter/catcher/fair territory. It's kind of what home field advantage is all about, but also kind of just silly. I know it seems like I'm bicthing but it really is silly.

Looks like the BM crying fell on deaf ears.
