Agreed. Like I know for a fact trey’dez green just showed up at Zachary. Now, he had a relationship with the bball coach from AAU, but Brewerton wasn’t out there actively recruiting him.

It’s kind of like hey I can play for East Feliciana or go right up the road and really get developed. Some folks say the push for him to move came from LSU for developmental purposes.

your coach needs to find the really good travel programs in your area(cenla knights and barnes academy traditionally) and start hosting the coaches for clinics, hosting the kids for camps and get someone on staff to start giving the kids lessons. off the teams free entry to games, have them as bat boys, etc etc
I am not even familiar with the programs outside of my sons age and the age above him. Behind him, I know there is a scrappy Knights team and that juggernaut Barnes team. He played for the best team in the area for 6 years and there are like 6 of those kids at ASH as Freshmen so hopefully they stay together and work hard. Four of them play football too, so you never know if they decide to play both, baseball or football.

People like to joke that I was recruited, because I ended up playing for a power house... I always said there were way better players than me.

I wasn't anything special. Maybe they liked my dad's bbq

Sure, maybe to an extent, but I can assure you he had no clue about green. It was almost like a running joke.

St. Charles has to get the benefit of the doubt.

Would like to see Teurlings win. Local team.

Here’s the HBP for Barbe that started the scoring in the 5th. Don’t think it would’ve ended up mattering anyways but pretty clear he stepped over the box towards the plate and onto the ground. Credit to Barbe because they took full advantage immediately. There were definitely moments where Benton may have gained some fortune from a call as well but they weren’t able to capitalize.

Only posting because choupique was interested in the play and I said I would go back and post photos once the game was over. Not trying to start an argument or say Barbe doesn’t deserve to be there because they absolutely do.

I’ve never heard of Family Community, but hilarious reaction from that kid for striking out on a center cut 80 mph fastball to end his career.

It IS a little strange how much lsu777 knows about the Barbe program and the details of kids/families yet not being connected, no kid on the team, etc. But he is right about a lot of this.

The Barbe program sells itself. One point not yet made is that the best athletes in the SWLA area end up playing mostly baseball. SWLA is not very strong overall in the other sports, you don't see many D1 football guys, strong football teams year in and year out from the area. Part of that is they are playing baseball year round.

There is coaching, and then there is running a program. NOBODY, and I mean nobody knows how to run a high school program like Cecchini. For him it is a 24/7/365 experience. He is a detail freak, fund raising, development, nutrition, recovery, strength and conditioning, all the way down to supporting the youth of the area. They grow up wanting to play for him and win multiple titles. He knows how to continuously evolve as a coach with the changing times, build on the previous year, constantly getting better. He is one of a kind.

My opinion:

1st photo: Inconclusive
2nd photo: the batter's foot is clearly ON the line. At that point, no violation.

Look at the 3rd photo. It’s all the way across the line. The ball was in the dirt but it would’ve crossed over the plate. Either way you can’t move into an HBP, especially over the plate

Yeah catcher set up a little out but reached in. I’ll give the benefit and maybe he was furious w himself because that looked like the pitch he should want

i dont know anything that you cant find on the internet other than knowing some of the kids and families. i really dont know shite. it took all of 5 min to look up the names on usssa and post who they played for.

actually, with being in the youth space....kids here play less games but practice/train more than most other areas
