Is there a season long standing or for now just week to week?

Your prediction is just for the final standings at the end of the season. After every race I score your prediction against the current WDC and WCC standings just for fun. These in-season ranking scores don't mean anything except "if the season ended after this last race, this is your score and where you are in the rankings." This is just to show how your predictons are trending as the different teams/drivers rise and fall in the rankings over the season.
For next year I am considering a more active prediction contest where you predict the finishing order of each race (instead of predicting the championship order). Your race prediction will be ranked, and the top 10 guys in the ranking will get F1 points. This way you can accumulate points for each race. If you forget to submit a prediction for a race, your prediction from the previous race will be used, so you don't have to worry about forgetting to predict a race. I think this will be a lot more fun since you are engaged to predict each race, and you can account for teams getting faster or slower over the season.

That race at least had something on it at the end, Lando was pushing Red Bull
Nope, Max was cooling his tires. Even if Lando catches Max, he's not getting around him. It's sometimes easy to catch a competitor, much harder to get around.
Made up drama, outcome was never in doubt, Max all the way.
I watched the race today, very boring, nothing like Miami.

Bet you’re fun at parties.

I felt this as well. I think the days of max being able to pit and not lose position are over though. He's not going to win races by an average of 15 seconds, but I think rumors of RB's demise are being greatly exaggerated.

RBR will actually have to use strategy again. That's a game changer.

Got a link?
All I have seen was that Max had trouble getting enough heat into his fronts on the hards.
Other teams had trouble getting the hards heated into the right window as well.
Max ran away on full tanks and medium tires. Things reversed once the fuel load went down and the hards went on.

Agree, think they won't runaway with things the rest of the year, but they won't lose. They've built too big of a lead already.
Mclaren is the one to catch them and they are over 100 constructors points back.
Max will continue to win a majority of races, Checo being the wild card. But going to take a while of him coming in 5-10 and Mclaren being in the top 5 to make up that deficit.

That is a very sharp livery, the Google Chrome wheel caps look out of place on it tho.

mclaren is the goat of special liveries.

No link but if you follow the intervals between Lando and Max for the last 10+ laps, you can easily see when Max goes on harder on certain laps. It seemed pretty obvious because his times weren't consistent. Lando would get close and Max would put in a hotter lap than his previous. If Max wasn't using some strategy and going flat out, his lap times would have been more consistent with slow degradation instead of lap improvements at critical times.

That livery is awesome but McLaren has to ditch the stupid google wheels. For the love of God, PLEASE!

Senators call on Justice Department and FTC to investigate Formula 1 for rejecting Andretti Global
quote:
WASHINGTON — A bipartisan group of influential senators is calling on the Biden administration to investigate Formula 1 over its decision to reject Andretti Global from racing on the grid in the coming years, suggesting the sport may be violating American antitrust law as it grows its U.S. fan base.
The six senators said they are “concerned” that F1 may be acting on behalf of other teams, “including foreign automakers,” to deny Andretti's bid to enter the sport in 2025 or 2026 even though its governing body, the FIA, approved its application. Formula 1 management, the commercial side of the sport, rejected its bid in January, doubting the team would be competitive or increase the value of the championship.
"It is possible that such a refusal to deal—especially if orchestrated through a group boycott—could violate U.S. antitrust laws,” the senators wrote.
The letter underscores rising interest by the U.S. government in the actions of F1 as it penetrates deeper into the American market with a growing fan base. A group of House members held a news conference with Mario Andretti on May 1 to pressure F1 to admit his team, and Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, launched an independent inquiry the next week. A Justice Department or FTC probe would represent a significant escalation.
Andretti Global has expressed appreciation to lawmakers for getting involved in the clash within the international sport.
“We are grateful to the bipartisan members of Congress for their support in challenging this anti-competitive behavior,” a spokesperson for Andretti Global said this month. “We remain committed to bringing the first US works team and power unit to F1 and to giving American fans a home team to root for.”

F1's reasoning for the rejection wasn't exactly logical, saying that a new team would need to bring value by competing for podiums, like that's realistic for 60% of the teams now, and then saying that it would help for GM to have their power unit ready to go but that a new power unit supplier can't be expected to be competitive.
I am not a lawyer but the antitrust angle doesn't seem to hold water to me considering that there is an American team competing, so it's not like foreign interests are freezing US teams out, and Andretti obviously freely competes in a high profile open wheel racing circuit in the US, but I guess placing tariffs on F1 is out of the question.
