CNBC already covering, sounds like shorters lost nearly 1B today.

Don't know what data you're seeing but S3 Partners reporting nearly 1B as of an hour ago... they don't have timing on their data, just the statement of "today"

I'm guessing after he lost his case and paid the 4 million dollar fine for misleading investors he probably couldn't trade or post for 3 years.
Most likely he still had a bag of gme stock he wants to pump before unloading

If you take the 64.4 million short shares according to Yahoo, which was updated 4/30, short sellers were down $850 million today.

I think the $1.6 billion number included AMC
