But he’s doing it in a short sighted way, and is not building a program. Compare this year to Wade’s second year. Wade had signed Naz Reid, Tremont Waters, Javonte and Darius Days. Then he beat 2 top 5 teams (UK and Tenn) and won the damn SEC.

Some of you assholes that live in glass houses want to close your mind to facts and slam Will because he made a mistake. But make no more mistakes, McMahon is not achieving anywhere close to what Wade did in his second year at LSU.

LSU hadn’t beat 2 top five teams since my teammate Howard Carter and company did it in 1980.

Tell me one player on this years team that you’d rather have than any of Wade’s boys from the the list of his signees above? I’ll wait.

You’ll be downvoted, but nothing you said was incorrect. Wade is a much better coach than CMM. Just because I can admit that doesn’t make me a Wade lover, it’s the cold hard truth.

Wade got exorted and played by a young girl and didn't even know how to use a burner phone.

Granted, CMM is doing pretty well considering. It’s just ludicrous how some of the idiots here act as though Wade wasn’t a high quality coach.

In Will Wade’s 5th season LSU went 9-9 in conference play.

If Matt McMahon and LSU end up 10-8 in, by all accounts a much stronger SEC this year, does your head explode?

It will be 9-9. We will lose at Arkansas.

ie, he’s doing it with senior and post grad transfers instead of stellar recruiting classes like Wade did.

Wade nearly killed our program getting those recruits. The fact that some of you lose sight of that blows my fricking mind.

None of them lol. I don't think even the biggest McMan on this board believes that MM fielded better talent than Wade did. BUT what I can say is that MM seems to be doing more with less talent.

We have a chance to go 10-8 in the SEC while Wade went 9-9 his last year with a much better team. Tari Eason (NBA), Darius Days (G-League), and Xavier Pinson (G-League) are much better than anyone on this roster... and they went 9-9 in a weaker SEC.

WW had more top 10 recruiting classes than NCAAT wins while at LSU

Our best tournament run came when he was suspended and we had an interim HC... but clearly talent played the least part in our success.
