With NIL, do you feel more willing to criticize college athletes?

Seems players have gone from volunteering amateurs to paid semi professionals. It appears that the criticism on this site is heavier than it would have been pre NIL.

I feel like players have always been fair game to criticize to an extent.

They’re still kids, so I think people should keep that in mind.

How do you know what they're paid? Daniels' NIL deal since he's been here is something about signed posters, which is probably relative peanuts compared to all the deals Myles got before he quit.

I am not hard on them. But I won't feel bad if I do or be critical of someone that does. They can call it whatever they want but they are professionals now.

Reggie Bush was paid a ton of money 20 years ago. The Pony Express was paid 40 years ago. Recruit buying has been going on long before the NIL law. College Football is the minor leagues.

They’re old enough to vote, go to war and take NIL and other money. They’re fair game at 18.

Critical of play and berating/insulting kids are two different things. That being said, I’m a grown man and have never felt the need or desire to run down kids

They’re supported by the university in addition to NIL so open season.

If Tate fricks up, we’ll also call him out. So no difference.

18-24 year olds are not ‘kids’ and you be ashamed of yourself for calling these oversized spoiled athletes ‘kids’

As a former D1 football player and ex military I get tired of folks calling 18-23 year olds kids. They are not. They may act childish but they are adults. As for criticism, I am fairly confident that most of us did things at those ages that we wouldn’t do now. It’s called maturity. Unfortunately some folks never mature!

I heard him on an internet radio commercial this past weekend, so he must be getting more than poster signings.
