This maybe true, but his NIL for 2024 would far exceed 5-7 round compensation

It's not just about comp. The guy might just not want to be in school going to class and stuff.

why he has fallen so far…

He was never going to be a day 1 or 2 guy.

He’s at the top end of his potential and doesn’t measure very good.

No. When this guy is good, he’s a 3rd rounded. He puts up 1st round numbers and his measurables make him round 3

He left after he was hurt and didn’t put up numbers. He’s a fricking idiot and hurt our team and hurt himself by declaring. Both parties needed him to return, but people get in these guys’ ears and it’s sad

That certainly could be true, but I doubt he's ever seen the inside of a classroom at LSU.

Besides, if you don't want to go to school, a university isn't exactly the place for you, and you should leave as soon as possible. He did.

Smith won his gamble. Wingo did not.

Maason kind of won his gamble. In some cruel act of God, he got drafted by the team that employs the same dickhead he just got away from.

frick you, Matt.

Matt house is a small cog and coaches linebackers. He will have no affiliation with him

I think Bo Davis could've turned him into a Day 2 selection.

His issues are with physical talent/size. It's not about technique or anything.

Just like how Smith was always going higher than rantards thought is the reason Wingo is going lower than rantards thought.

There are certain physical limitations in the NFL that make you unplayable in 99% of situations (there are always outliers). Wingo apparently has those (or the NFL perceives him as having them)

think with the NFL they think Wingo is a little undersized.

He is undersized, but he's got a lot of heart and plays til the whistle. I think the toxic relationship he had with Matt House clouded his judgement and lead to him making a knee jerk decision. He could've really improved his draft stock this year.

Could the NCAA even enforce that if someone tried?

He wasn't going to get taller if he had stayed. He didn't need more film.

I don't think NIL for a DL like Wingo would go for over 60k. He'll be making prob a mil a year and maybe a 300k signing bonus. People often overestimate how much these players get in NIL. On3 recruiting I believe way overestimates what these players get.
