I’d like to know his batting average vs Lefties. That’s probably why if I had to take a guess.

Because he hasn’t been hitting in SEC play and 2B isn’t a premium defensive position

He's not been hitting well right-handed (or left-handed lately for that matter) in SEC play, and Tenn is throwing a LHP.

eta--I don't agree with it, though. Pearson hasn't played 2B in a while. And Milam has been a staple in the infield, and the lineup. Yeah, he's struggling, but you've already picked him as your guy there, let him go.

I am listening to Theriot on AFR talk about how important it is to be, not just "good" up the middle (catcher, SS, 2B, CF), but consistent. Pick the guys and let them ride. Being pretty critical right now of switching out the catcher so much. Talked earlier about how much "dynamic leadership" the team lost from last year. Dugas, Beloso, Jobert, and Thompson as the veteran, vocal guys, and Skenes and Crews as more leaders by example. Although I think Skenes was pretty vocal. And how important that is to have on championship teams. Dude won a CWS, and 2 or 3 MLB WS--he's not right about everything he ever says, but his take on this is pretty insightful.

I’m thinking Jay wants to get as many power bats in the lineup as possible in the small ballpark. Probably why Neal is catching instead of Milazzo, even with a lefty on the mound.

If BA was the problem for Milam why the hell is Kling in the lineup?
