Been really struggling to get hits this year. Batting under .200.

I don’t watch every game, anyone have some insight?

Granted he’s probably not started this slow. But he’s probably just starting slow

He’s a historically bad starter. Last year was the same thing and he ended the season very strong.

I think the recent uptick in pitch velocity across the majors is giving him problems. He still has good control of the strike zone but it’s not as good as it used to be. I’ve seen some very uncharacteristic chases from him this season. The only reason a guy like him starts guessing is if he’s worried about catching up to the fastball.

He's too busy making stupid HEB commercials and selling salsa to concentrate on baseball.

I wonder if he’s trying too hard, because he wants a team to give him a huge contract this upcoming offseason.

Wouldn’t be a bad deal to get one more sweet deal than bail. These guys are making so much money now, just do 10 years and never loook back.

He has traditionally started slow, but it's a bit he's usually coming out of it by now. Bad timing as it's a potential walk year and he by all accounts will be a free agent.

You know some people enjoy playing a game for a living. Yes it’s a job, yes it’s a grind. But it’s still a game and when they go out there on the field the love it. The travel, hotels, etc is typically what makes it a “job”.

So most of these guys enjoy playing to 40 if they can.

Jinxed by the thread where Astros fans said he was a greater MLB player than Lemahieu
