Many players have exited the game when they lost it between the ears. It’s been happening in baseball for years.

Encourage him to transfer and open up a scholarship and get some talent in the portal.

What’s odd is he pitched well enough in the preseason for the staff to believe he was our Friday night starter. I suspect part of it is mental and also probably mechanics.

They used him just right this weekend. They waited until the game was out of hand then called on Hurd on the outside chance he could shut them down the rest of the way.

Based on yesterday, they will do the same moving forward, except call on Moffett first.

He pitched well in the fall. The preseason spring scrimmages his numbers were very similar to how they are now. Extremely frustrating to say the least knowing what type of pitcher he could be. Has to be frustrating for Jay to, but at this point he is a midweek/scraping the bottom of the pen Sunday guy. Moffett for sure and even Cam Johnson has passed him up IMO.

Hate to rag on the guy, but he wasnt really good last szn either. His best 2 games just happened to be the biggest 2 games of an incredible year.

Turn him into a bullpen catcher since the ones we have now can’t catch.

Looking back at his opportunities this season and the way he responded tells me he is more of a liability to our success than an asset. He's had plenty of time to right the ship but he lost something along the way. If the coaches can't figure it out, I say cut him.

He’s MAJORLY affected mentally. It’s off the charts for him.

Yesterday, he looked like he was struggling with the most basic mechanics. It looked like yips territory.

I don't know, but you can't have a guy who was supposed to be an ace and a leader on this team out there flailing around like that.
It's bad for the team. The guys who have earned looks should be out there, and not anyone else.

At this point, I don't care what he did last year.

Bring him in, in relief, in situations where the game is already decided.

He is an enigma in how he looked so lost and utterly without confidence last year, only to turn it on when the pressure was highest, but then fall right back into the same problems this year that he had last regular season. I've heard of and seen lots of players in all sports who turned it up in the biggest moments, but not guys who were terrible the rest of the time, but great in the postseason. I've never seen anything like it.

Speaking of earning a look, I think Aiden Moffett earned a longer leash with his performance yesterday. He's had command issues, but so have pretty much everyone else, and yet he's not been given much of a chance to extend and show what he can do until yesterday. The results were quite encouraging.

His body language is quite telling. He looks disappointed in himself, not angry. ZERO self-confidence. Idk what you do with that. Feel for the guy though

He looks broken. Like me on the golf course when I can't stop hooking it into the woods and I've lost all joy in life by hole 12.

I don’t even know if you can have him on the travel roster at this point. Give that spot up to someone else.
