Don’t lie in here, who loved the call, who thought it was bat shite crazy?
I was watching with some friends and as soon as we realized we were actually going for the win, I said fck it. Win or lose, I’m good with the call.
One play to end a 10 year losing streak at home to Bama, or let other things determine outcome.
Easy to look back and say it was right call now, but curious as to how many fans on here were okay with it.
As always, GEAUX TIGERS!!

I turned to my husband and said *they have to go for two right now and win this thing.* Then they did!!

It was the right call
Reminds me of The Patriot when Cornwallis decides to charge over the hill
“It ends today!”
No second chances. No more parrying back and forth. One team is going to lose no matter what. We have the ball in our hands and the chance to win it right then and there.
It was without a doubt the right call.

There were at least 10 threads started on the scoreboard saying go for 2
I wasn’t against it, but I can’t say I would have made the same decision. Guess that’s why I’m watching games on the sofa and not the sidelines.

I was good with it as well. I wanted to go for two against FSU for as bad as we played we drove the field on them and had them stunned.

I thought it was bat shite crazy and was convinced we were gonna lose another heartbreaker to Bama because of it. I jumped nearly two feet when we made it. Holy crap, what a frickin game!

I held 2 fingers up in the air as soon as Daniels crossed the goal line. It was absolutely the right call.

Loved it. Told everyone I was with, no LSU fans, that they should go for it right when Bama scored in the 1st half of the OT.

It's the right call even if we didn't get it.
I like going for 2 in OT, especially as the underdogs. I don't like going for 2 in regulation unless absolutely necessary.
We would have had to come back out there and likely score another TD then hold them and the refs down for 4 downs every time. It's such a challenging ask to have to hold them when they will have all four downs and the refs that close to the end zone. You might as well go for the win there, because after the 2nd OT they force you to go for 2. Why not get ahead of it now? Great call in OT.

It was a no brainer to go for 2. If LSU would have been on offense last in double OT, maybe you kick, but definitely not being on offense first.

I still can't believe he made that call

I think we had a much better chance to win it with the 2 point convention then to go to a 2nd OT
Posted on 11/6/22 at 12:26 am to NashvilleTiger09
I agreed with kicking XP vs FSU and going for 2 here. Basically by the third OT you are both trading off 2s where you have to score and stop them. In this situation all you have to do is score so your odds are much better. Plus Bama gets it second in 2nd OT which is a big advantage.

It was the right call because of the frickery from the refs. The longer that shite goes on, the harder it will be to beat those fricks.

Going for one only favored Bama. The second OT you have to go for two, so you would have been in the exact same position but without the opportunity to end the game on a made attempt. And who the hell wants to play a game out in 2 point overtime world?

I actually told my wife before JDs TD run that if we scored CBK wouls go fo 2
Posted on 11/6/22 at 12:27 am to NashvilleTiger09
I thought it was right when he called it. BAMA had a long drive to end the game, then had a 7 play drive in OT and LSU scored on the first play. The D had been on the field for a long time with a one play break. You kick the extra point and BAMA is most likely going to score a TD on next possession because the D had been on the field for a lot of plays with a very short break. My $0.02.

To me it was a no brainer. I was calling for it before JD crossed there goal line. He was in a no lose situation. Make it your great. Miss it your syilll great for getting to that point. Easy decision and I liked the play just as I did the other times they’ve ran it. And yes I’m 62 and ran on the field……

I think most of the fanbase felt exactly the same. Daniels was on fire too. Had to give him a chance.

I agree 100 percent. I don't know that we can stop them in OT that close for all 4 downs. Perhaps we only get a FG on the 2nd possession first and lose to a TD. Screw that as a possible outcome. Go for the win there.
