This is a little bold. I can see us going 7-5 just as easily as 12-0. I think another 9-3 is a likely outcome with all we are replacing on offense

Thanks for the Doctor Who/TARDIS time machine tour. First, Texas has upgraded its coaching staff and also been ablaze on the recruiting trail. Second, OU's staff is struggling to be kind. And who won the Big 12 THIS past season. Oh yeah, it was Texas and OU didn't even make the CG because OSU beat them for the tiebreaker.

I will repeat...Texas will do much better in the SEC than OU. I will also mention that Arkansas used to be a power in the Big 12/Southwest Conference just like OU. And how is Arkansas doing in the SEC since coming here. Oh yeah, they SUCK!

I hear ya, Star Gazer. I’m curious to see how Veneble’s (apologies in advance because I don’t know how they spell their names) defensive mind set affects the outcome. Sarkesian is offensive minded. I wonder if Texas will evolve into an offensive team that out scores everybody, like us this past year and Oklahoma under Riley or Kiffen at Ole Miss. And Oklahoma could turn in to an old school SEC team that play hard nose defense to keep the score close and grind over their opponents late in games. Can’t wait to find out

I just see parallels between Arkansas and Oklahoma that would scare me if I was an OU fan.
1) both universities are from small states not known for producing a lot of HS football talent which means they have to recruit out of state...much easier to do going up against Big 12 schools vs SEC schools
2) both universities have decent front line talent but almost 0 depth
3) both in the SWC/Big 12 benefitted from having to play only 2 or 3 tough games a year which meant they could withstand a few injuries to heal up

I'll stick with my prediction. Texas does fine in the SEC...Oklahoma not so much. They will become another Arkansas.

Yes, a lot of the secondary were green players...TR FR. So you would expect improvement if they have talent which I think they do. And other than the blowout FSU game...which LSU BTW led at halftime...the Ole Miss game came down to a catchable pass from Daniels to Hilton that went through his hands. The Alabama game was decided a lot by Daniels getting knocked out of the game. LSU could have gone 11-1, but I guess 9-3 was really what was deserved.

Did you watch the game. Texas CHOKED that game in the last drive that took what...like 30 seconds. Plus as everyone says, rivalry games are just something else. If you want to use a one game rivalry game as a measuring stick, then you remember Alabama having to beat Auburn on a hail mary right?
