I didn't realize that he had come back to LSU. He was the RC at Purdue the last two years, and was integral in getting Luke Gaffney there. I wonder if he could convince Gaffney to come to BR, because that guy is a serious stud at the plate.

Laugh all you want. With Tanks, Travinski, and possibly Jones leaving, Johnson needs to find some big bats for next year.

Coach Rooney told me that he is happy to be back at LSU. His wife is from here and they met when he was here previously.

It's been pretty neat seeing him down in the bullpen working with the pitchers during the games the last few weeks after being gone so many years.
Not saying he's the reason, but since he has been helping out down there, a few members of our staff seem to have turned a corner and brought their game up to the next level.
