So we reverse what we thought...

We all hoped to win 1 of 3 against Tx A&M and 2 of 2 against Bama....well we won 2 of 3 against Tx A&M and 1 of 3 against Bama...
We still are 3&3 over those 6 games which is wha we all said we needed to be...we r 10-17 with 3 left to play against OLE MISS...we get 2 of 3 there and 1 in SEC Tourney we at 13 and 2 in tourney we at 14...Same result just reverse order!

LSU will not make the tournament at 12-18 unless they win the SEC tournament but then record would be irrelevant.
Unless they come back and win today their only hope would be to sweep Ole Miss and finish 13-17.

That’s not what was said. We said we needed to take 2 of 3 in each of the last 3 series. If we lose one of those, we would need to sweep another. A sweep of Ole Miss is not likely.

Wrong. Auburn isn’t making it. And as long we win 1 more Mizzou can’t catch us. If we don’t win 1 Mizzou has to sweep MSST. (Assuming Mizzou loses to Auburn since they are down 7-1 in the 7th).
If we don’t sweep Ole Miss then we have to win the SEC tournament or we are out of a regional.

The selection committee will look at our record (not good), our series record (not good), and then how we perform when it's crunch time (also not good).
You understand that assuming this score holds up, we will have won only 3 series out of 9. But we SHOULD have won 6 of 9. We all know Bama game 1, 2 outs in the 9th and we shite it away in a must-win game.
We were also up going into the 8th against Vandy and Florida in game 2, should have closed them out too.
3 fricking games, the difference between probably not making it, and possibly hosting a regional as a 15 or 16 seed.

We're making it as long as we're ahead of Auburn and Missouri, and we're ahead by at least two games right now. We're making the SEC tournament so mathematically were not out of the national tournament as long as we have a chance to win games at the SEC tournament.
Which means, technically, but not probably, we could lose tonight, lose two out of three to Ole Miss, still get into the SEC tournament, win three games and make the national tournament.

LSU making the tournament is like our BB team making NCAA. It would be useless effort. Just hang it up and recruit like never before. NIL has to kick in big time for this team.

I think some of these people should probably get themselves ready. If we even make it to Hoover, that’s very likely the end of the line for this year.
Friday night pretty much sealed that deal. We weren’t winning today with our pitching.
ETA: if we somehow manage to pull today out, I’ll gladly come back and eat shite.

If Florida finishes .500 overall that’s 10 teams ahead of us and Ole Miss that are basically locks. I didn’t see the SEC getting 11 teams. We need Florida to finish under .500. All those games we blew over the season (such as game 2 against UF) that people didn’t think were such a big deal at the time are a huge deal now
