If you look on the SEC Rant board the opinion on GWW is changing. The razorbacks are wet at the mouth for a chance to get Wade.
Does he go just to stick it to LSU?

I mean if I were him I’d take it. Not to stick it to lsu but just bc it’s a step up. Arky has a solid bball program.

He's a good coach. Maybe not as good as this board makes him out to be but still good.

he does not care about LSU. this would be a huge step up for Will. If he makes the move, good for him. But to think he makes the move just to spite LSU is crazy.

He might not be the best coach, but He is an expert at engineering a schedule to make the tourney. And that’s what fans care about most.
He talked about it a lot at lsu. He would schedule strange out of conference games that wouldn’t make a lot of sense but at the end of the year those wins or even loses were helping move us from a bubble team to a tourney team.
You saw the exact same thing at mcneese this year.

What?! McNeese got in as an AQ. Do they get in if they don’t win their Conference tourney because of Wade’s schedule?

Will Wade has one more year of NCAA sanctions. He is in the clear June 21, 2025. If Arkansas hired Wade they would probably have to do the same as McNeese and suspend him for 10 games next season while still under the NCAA partial show cause (or whatever the penalty is called). Would be interesting if the Hogs go after Wade.

I think they already have Chris Beard locked up.
Which leaves Ole miss which I don't think they can do better than Wade. Like someone mentioned Wade is a good coach, he hasn't proven to be an elite final 4 coach or anything but he can turn programs around pretty quickly.

Wade did exactly that. He has confirmed it in many interviews. He schedules teams, pre conference, that have a good RPI rankings, with teams within the top 55 generally considered contenders.
That gives his team a boost for tourney consideration.

Doesn't his show cause punishment extend through another year? If so, he's basically off limits for any major program.
