Does the guy from Penn have any eligibility left?

Troy also has a sophomore catcher with some pop in his bat.

I would assume, I think he’s been there all 4 years. Whoxh means he has the Covid shortened season. But the ivy league schools don’t allow a 5th year. So if he wants to keep playing, he’ll probably be in the portal.

Faced 3 batters and walked all 3 I think.

Are you talking about Texas A&M commit Wyatt Henselar?

Idk about this year but teams like Vanderbilt, Florida & Wake has had 3 very good weekend starters in recent years. Wake just last year. So it can be done in college. Just really hard to do.

LSU could’ve had that this year but Hurd had other plans

Wasn't that suppose to be our strong point coming into the year?

You can always think you got good quality pitchers and then they turn to shite like Hurd.

Preseason, we were being touted as having one of the best pitching crews in college baseball with transfers and returns. They just haven't lived up to the hype, like most of the rest of the team. Hurd can't even give a decent showing in relief, must less be a weekend starter that was supposed to be a high 1st round pick this year.

I mean, that's always the case.

In the world we live in, if you aren't finding one starter in the portal (at minimum), you are probably falling behind.in the SEC.

Name me a college baseball program who has 3 great weekend starters Friday/Saturday/Sunday. I’ll wait, because there isn’t one. There’s a reason why every team goes into the 3rd game without a pitcher announced.

But they had quality arms to come out of the 'pen on Sunday. It's not all about starters. We burned through everyone we could trust in two days, because we don't have pitching depth, period. It's not for lack of "arm talent", but we aren't developing enough of these guys. It was the same problem last year AFTER injuries. Don't have that excuse this year, and we don't have that lineup to bail us out, either.

That's why, as much as it was nice to win this series, we are sitting at 9-15 in the league. We need another resurgence from Hurd like he did at the end of last year, or from someone.

Damn! Did JJ try to get any of them? His power alley will be gone at the end of the season.
