Herring 1.06 (24 + 5 + 0 in 27.1)
Dutton 1.13 (5 + 1 + 0 in 5.1)

Little 1.33 (12 + 4 + 0 in 12.0)
Jump 1.37 (35 + 14 + 8 in 41.2)
Holman 1.41 (33 + 22 + 5 in 42.2)
Ack 1.45 (18 + 9 + 2 in 20.0)
Opponents 1.55 (205 + 101 + 18 in 208.2)
Moffett 1.57 (7 + 4 + 1 in 7.2)

Team 1.64 (213 + 101 + 24 in 206.0)

Guidry 2.00 (4 + 7 + 1 in 6.0)
Coleman 2.05 (10 + 3 + 0 in 6.1)

Ulloa 2.25 (4 + 2 + 0 in 2.2)
Hurd 2.27 (15 + 9 + 1 in 11.0)
Bucknam 2.33 (6 + 1 + 0 in 3.0)

Loer 2.68 (12 + 4 + 1 in 6.1)
Hellmers 2.75 ( 8 + 2 + 1 in 4.0)
Noot 3.00 (1 + 2 + 0 in 1.0)

Bronzini 3.50 (4 + 2 + 1 in 2.0)
Johnson 3.75 (3 + 7 + 2 in 3.2)
Anderson 4.80 (12 + 3 + 1 in 3.1)

You can see by the innings pitched for the bolded players that they are the ones the coaches were expecting better performance from. Guidry with high walks. Hurd with high walks and getting hit hard. Coleman and Loer getting hit hard.

Yep from that chart it would be difficult to pick 2 worse choices than Hurd and Loer today.

We took ACK out really quickly today. Did that hurt our chances to win or had he lost it already and needed to come out?

When did Noot pitch? Totally missed that.

Hopefully with the confidence that is slowly building in this team that Coleman, Hurd and Moffett can pick it up. Obviously we want Anderson to do better as well. I think our postseason lives depend on those 4. That'll give us a complete Game 3 with partial Game 4.

Coleman and Hurd are the head scratchers because we have seen them do well.

I think Moffett is close but idk

Anderson needs to avoid serving meatballs because he gets hit hard against SEC batters. Last outing there were still some good hits along with unlucky hits (d2 shifts).

I still think this team confidence will start to seep into the bullpen after this series.

So basically WHIP but adding in hit batters.

Yeah. Baserunners allowed minus those reaching on errors or fielder’s choice (or interference etc)

Those guys all have less than 5 IP. Those numbers are the struggle of closers and guys who come in for 1 or two batters. 1 bad outing can seriously skew your numbers. I am not even sure any of them have started.

Coleman 2.05 (10 + 3 + 0 in 6.1)
Loer 2.68 (12 + 4 + 1 in 6.1)
Hurd 2.27 (15 + 9 + 1 in 11.0)

These guys, though have a few more IP. I think all have started at least once. The only one that looks bad every time right now is Hurd. And it is both baffling and disappointing.

I think Dutton, Moffet, Little, Herring, or Ack will have to be considered as our pool for Sunday starters going forward, and hope to get 6 innings out of Jump and Hollman to minimize pen usage on Friday and Saturday.

I also think that despite their current numbers Guidry, Coleman, Ulloa, Loer, Helmers and maybe Johnson need to be able to give us some good innings from time to time.

Ack totally lost it pretty quickly. He was also around 45 pitches and coming off of a hamstring injury.

Not sure what happened with Loer, but right now he looks like a significant miscalculation on JJ's part.

It is pretty clear we have 6 pitchers, never more than after this weekend. I was pro Hurd, but I just dont think you can put him out there except mid week. We simply have to get Jump to go long, long on Fridays. I still have a tiny bit of faith in Guidry, but his breaking pitch is not what it was last year.

Good analysis. It is no wonder the team has had so little success. Except for a couple of pitchers, the numbers are horrible.
It wouldn't be hard to take if the fan base was told preseason that this was a rebuilding year and we had a bunch of young pitchers that need to develop. That is not what I read however. I read that this was a really deep, talented staff. That couldn't be further from the truth.

This is the first time I have seen these 3 stats combined like you did. This can be very revealing. Thanks.
