That's the last guy you should want back in that building or having anything to do with the LSU program. And not just for reasons of incompetence or helping run the LSU program into the ground.

Look what John Robinson did for us in 2019

I still say John Robinson borderline shadow coached the 2018 team

I still think he was a huge factor in our success. Love the hell out of John Robinson

Pete Jenkins joining every LSU defensive staff that struggles reminds me of WWL(?) trotting out an ancient, mummified Nash Roberts whenever a tropical storm developed.

This is the 6th LSU head coach Pete has worked for and like the 4th or 5th time he's come out of retirement.

Bill Arnsparger
Mike Archer

Maybe he’ll help but as a coach in his 80s not sure how much he’ll do

Wow. This was a desperation move even under prior coaching staffs. This is becoming more troubling by the day.

No, this is a move "overdue". When Lindsey was deemed unable to coach, they needed D-line help and did very little to address it. The d-line needs to stay disciplined but also needs to do more than just rush straight forward every single time especially on 3rd and long.

Unfortunately, LSU can't simply hire whomever they want from another staff while the season is ongoing.

I would absolutely go after the real father of DBU as next DC with safeties & corners (akin to Aranda and take it to the House with LBs) when silly season starts.

I don’t know why this seems hard for folks to grasp. It’s unlikely that you find a long-term DL coach midyear. So if you’re looking for someone to coach the position short term, you could do a hell of a lot worse than Pete Jenkins.

Brian Kelly has so epically fricked up with his hires that an 82 year old retiree is an improvement

Yeah, I'm really starting to doubt Brian Kelly's qualifications as a cardiologist. WTF, Scott?

Ive heard from my sources that Kelly is bringing in YA Tittle to work on a "hitch" in Jayden's throwing motion.

Dont shoot the messenger.

Not all 80-somethings are as mentally slow as, say, Joe Biden. We all know 90+ year olds who are as sharp as ever.

2019.

I always thought so and said so here. Hmm.....Coach who was a bust at Ole Miss but can recruit like hell suddenly turns in a record season and the guy who coached the 1979 Trojans just happens to be on the sidelines the whole time.
