Not understanding why people say mid-week games matter if they win and don’t matter if they lose.

For the most part how you perform in the SEC causes the midweek performances to have no particular impact on your chances. Our unique situation losing this game would cause the already RPI loss to be bigger and it would just make our metrics worse than they already are compared to other bubble teams. Florida is 24-23 this year and has a better RPI than us.

I upvoted because you’re right. First time this season I’ve actually thought that we’d be just as likely to go 0-2 in a regional as we would to win it.. this damn sloppy, uninspired baseball that we saw a lot of in first half of sec play. Still time to flip a switch tonight, LFG tigers!
