Not understanding why people are saying this game matters so much?

If you win these next two series a mid week loss shouldn’t matter.

RPI drop would be huge. It would be a damning loss and leave little room for error which we are already facing now.

Because our RPI and OOC strength of schedule pale in comparison to other SEC teams with fringe tournament resumes

We need every win that we can get

The game doesn’t fricking matter, how LSU swings the bat and plays defense definitely does!! They’re fricking sucking thus far against much inferior competition!!!!

If we only get 13 wins, our RPI will be a big factor if we get in or not. Losing this game will hurt our RPI.

We’d just embarrass ourselves in post season play anyway.

They don’t matter when you are a shoe in for the tournament based on your conference record. Loss tonight probably forces us out for good unless we sweep the next two weekends.

Not so much in college baseball, as in basketball when losing to Quad 3/4 can be deadly

Lose tonight, and you probably have to win the conference tournament.

All I know is Jay Johnson said it was a must win in his press conference.

I don't understand why, but he does.

RPI will drop win or lose

Win the next 2 series and we'll be mid-20s right where we need to be

Because the damage to the RPI would be huge.

Our RPI has already dropped 1-2 spots tonight depending where you look

My goodness. No it wouldn't. Some of you overreact more than a teenage girl. Losing this game doesn't help anything for sure, but it doesn't "force us out for good."

LSU should never be in this position. If they miss the postseason, Johnson has a lot of work to do. Regardless of the CWS win, I still believe that two years in a row without being in the tournament would cost him his job.
