How many runs was his defense responsible for?

A few. Im not going to pretend he is perfect. But im also not going to shite on him like the OP when he has hit homers in back to back games

Good things happen when he's on the field. Fact.

I must be missing the part where the title or op mentioned Neal at all. Can you point it out for me?

The OP didn’t (in this thread) say a word about Neal. Certainly didn’t crap on him

The catcher obsession is one of the more weird things I’ve seen on here.

Neal does need to learn how to use his body to smother pitches in the dirt.

Could it possibly be that Neal and Milazzo and Travinski have to contribute for this team to consistently win? Sort of like last year? We don’t have an Adley Rutschman on the roster.

Absolutely huge moment for us - damn we didn't need an L to these guys.

Outstanding effort. Bear is killing it both in the field and at the plate.

Great job by all, especially Milam, battling back to give us a chance.

It really is. I said it before, but Milazzo has some insane folklore around his defense.

I did not mention Brady nor shite on him. I like him but Milazzo has that “it” factor for this year’s team. Team was trailing and CJJ put him in. Not for his offense, especially with Neal doing well at plate so far. He put him in as he knows the team responds to Alex. Nothing negative was said about Neal. I just pointed out a fact - Alex comes in, LSU comes from behind to win. Dispute that fact.

He just has “it”.

You can’t measure it, but it is clearly why they won the game

Honestly there's been little to no fall off defensively and the offensive numbers were always gonna be better than Morgan's. Dudes earned him some money this year

Those couple of SEC games where he entered with LSU in the lead but eventually lost sure would look good in the win column right about now.
