After only a season and a half starting he’s already top 10 in a lot of LSUs passing records and if he had the chest to play in the bowl could’ve improved even more...he already has the 7th most yards in a season and could’ve easily moved up to 5th, has the 3rd most TDs in a season could’ve moved to 2nd only behind burrows 60 and tied for 6th most career TDs could’ve moved up to maybe 4th all time.
What could’ve been if only he had a decent line and play caller the last 2 seasons.

Says more about past offenses than it does Max Johnson.

He was serviceable. That is all.
Not great, not terrible.

with the exception of Burrow that's not exactly a real prestigious list

He was the 9th in the SEC in Passer Rating and was 11th in completion percentage. His yards and TDs are much more indicative of the offense, play calls, and lack of a running game than they are of him as a passer.

Exactly. People have a hard time putting stats into any sort of context, these days. We live in an era where passing stats can easily be inflated.

I don't think anyone on this board knows why Max is leaving. But he had enough chest to stick it out the regular season while could have easily just ceded playing time to Nuss instead of constantly getting wrecked by opposing defenses. Sure, a lot of that was his own fault. But it was obvious the line was not helping much, and coaching was not helping him or the line. We may never know why he made his decision to leave, but I'm pretty sure he has the chest for K-State. However, it appears his circumstances were not in "alignment".

He’s #1 in LSU history for all QB stats while throwing with his left hand

If he has a OL that protects him he is going to be a lot better obviously. He has a problem of not throwing on time. If you will he has a Josh Booty style to him. Strong are see open receiver then throw. You need to deliver the ball within the offensive play call and read the defense better.

you could argue that LSU struggles in the run game this year led to a pass heavy offense
