#7: LSU Tigers
The losses of Reese (declared for WNBA) and Hailey Van Lith (transfer portal) are notable but hardly devastating for Kim Mulkey. In fact, there now might be room for Flau'jae Johnson to become the new face of the program and for Mikaylah Williams and Aneesah Morrow to put up much bigger numbers. The further development of 6-6 Aalyah Del Rosario and the healthy return of Sa'Myah Smith, who missed most of the season with a knee injury, will be key.
Full list:
1. South Carollina
2. Texas
3. Notre Dame
4. UConn
5. Southern California
6. UCLA
7. LSU
8. NC State
9. Stanford
10. Iowa State
11. Duke
12. Oregon State
13. Baylor
14. North Carolina
15. Louisville
16. West Virginia
17. Kansas State
18. Florida State
19. Oklahoma
20. Creighton
21. Nebraska
22. Ohio State
23. Alabama
24. Utah
25. Illinois

This program will be a perennial top 10 championship contender until Mulkey leaves. And the media's tears will be delicious.

Can anyone knock off South Carolina though ?

“Way too early” is right. With the add-ons from the portal, this team will be a solid Final Four contender.
And there’s a whole thread on the subject so not being repetitive, and no disrespect to Hailey Van Lith, but she was just a bad fit.
So not only is she not a “loss,” this team will be better off without her.

I agree but she needs to pick it up on the recruiting side of things.
Can't afford to keep getting beat out on top recruits to UConn and USCe.

Need to land a couple of high impact transfers. As this roster stands now, they’ll be good but not championship caliber.

Morrow, Williams, flaujae and Smith is def a final 4 top 4. Outside of SCe it’s hard to find a better 4 than that in the country
Get the pg from Mich st and the wing from Clemson and this team is top 3 in the country

Williams is grossly overrated. She had a good start to the season but became more and more irrelevant after her 40 point game. Her defense is BY FAR the worst on the team and no where close to the level it needs to be.

She was a true freshman that also suffered a foot injury mid season
Her 42 point game was the 4th game of the season , you know how many good games she had after game 4 on the season?
Imagine calling the SECFOTY overrated only idiot lsu fans

It only takes one courageous officiating crew to call them for all the bully ball and standing in the lane for them to fall.
On second thought, it’s their world and the rest of the women’s teams are just living in it.

Tell me right now who has a championship caliber roster
Don’t say South Carolina either

If Angel had come back I would have put the Tigers 1 or 2 with Cardoso gone. LSU is still a contender with a proper PG.

Need a PG and some depth, but I think they’ll be a great team that might actually be better with Reece/HVL gone by tournament time next year.
