My daughter is starting gym. So we watched the national championship. She loved it. Was thinking about getting tickets.

Selling out the PMAC is great, but that only means the diehard group will go every time. … Winning the national title has expanded gymnastics to a larger segment of the LSU fandom, and they may now decide they want to see a meet or 2.

You just described increased demand. LSU can’t increase supply (without a new PMAC) so ticket prices are going to rise. The only question is who gets the extra cash: the program or the black market re-sellers.

I know who I’d rather see get the money.

increase supply (without a new PMAC) so

????.. I may be wrong but I thought the new arena would have less seats for athletics.. they would curtain off the upper seats.???

Any new arena is NOT going to have less than 13K capacity is my bet. We sell too many season tickets to Gymnastics and WBB to build a smaller arena.

Raising baseball tickets up to 39% might be tough to sell in a year we might not even make the post season

Gymnastics tickets are dirt cheap so an increase there is pretty reasonable

“While the location and other details have not been finalized, Zinn said, the on-campus arena would cost an estimated $350-400 million in private funds and potentially hold a maximum of 13,000 seats.”

Now, baseball, they might want to ease off on the price jump. That market is already established, people know the prices and such. But again, you could always sell "and we will certainly be better than this year", because that's practically a given. If the team flops twice in a row, you're worried about more than ticket prices

Grandstand renewals have been 100% the last 3 years. There is a long waiting list for the premium seats. My 2 seats and PP cost $1800 for greenbacks. I’m going to keep mine but damn they are getting more expensive than football.

Gymnastics is already a steal even with a price jump. Kind of poor timing to do that ri baseball fans

Following the design of other modern venues, fewer overall seats, but more premium seats.

Point remains you can’t increase supply in the current PMAC.
