Xavier also in the first 4 out. They had a game cancelled against Kentucky yesterday. If they had played and won that game, they'd likely have moved into becoming Q1 wins for us.

We have 9 SEC wins. Last out is a big improvement over their previous weeks projections.

Going from winning the CWS to not making the tournament would be a huge disappointment.
But, LSU baseball is not good this year. I trust Jay Johnson to come out swinging next season.

Illustrates what we already knew. LSU is not in TODAY, but they have a chance to play their way in over these final two weeks. However, they have no margin for error.
Xavier, along with Florida and Ole Miss are interesting. All are ranked higher than LSU in the RPI. All have a top 15 SOS. Yet, all could realistically end the season with a losing record overall.
If LSU takes at least 2/3 this weekend they probably go into the final weekend "in" the NCAA Tournament playing to either remain there (if they take 2/3) or fall out (if they lose more than 1 game)

This team needs to win 5 of 6 the next two weeks… and then for good measure they could use a couple wins in the sec tourney… if they do this they could host a regional….

Simple, go 4-2 and we are in. Play every game like it is the game 7 of the world series. No margin for error.

largely irrelevant. All one has to do is go back to 2021 to see that. Georgia was seeded higher than LSU in the SEC tournament. Georgia beat LSU in the opening game of the tournament to eliminate LSU. LSU made the NCAA Tournament. Georgia didn't. In fact, LSU wasn't even one of the "last four in" that year. This, despite the fact both teams had identical SEC records (13-17) and nearly identical regular season records. That SEC tournament win head-to-head did absolutely nothing for Georgia. Nor did it hurt LSU at all.

No ULL's taking a bus but LSU is going to fly the plane real low so the cajuns can see them & won't feel alone
