...at A&M. Any way that we change the narrative, and actually produce a competitive team this season?

Id feel okay about us being competitive if a&m wasnt elite at offensive rebounding. Im expecting that to lead to lots of frustrating possessions and us losing by 18

A&M's 9-4 record is deceiving. All four of their losses have been to ranked teams.

Aggies play an aggressive style of basketball, the very opposite of LSU. Wouldn't be surprised if the Aggies are up 20+ at the half in this game

Jalen Cook single handedly breathes a little bit of life and gives a chance to compete…. Really the only player on the roster who looks like he belongs ..
Aggies play a tough brand of defense and tigers are offensively challenged, so not a good combo.

Who cares? We’re 8-5 with L’s to Nicholls and Dayton.

Meanwhile McNeese is about to get their 12th W and coming off a win over Michigan.

If you are asking "Is it possible", then the answer is almost anything is possible.

If you are asking "Is it likely", then the answer is no.

I am neither a guy who wants to crap all over McMahon or Woodward because I think Wade was some innocent who was wronged, I've been accused of being a McMan because I have defended him a time or two from some of the irrational venom I see spewed. But the reality is he does not seem to have what it takes to succeed at LSU or at the very least not to do it quickly. And in today's world of college basketball, you should at least be competitive very quickly. He was competitive in the SEC last season and that doesn't look different going into SEC play.

I hope I am wrong and have seen some glimmers of hope with Cook now in the lineup but I think my sunshine pump needs a new gasket to work properly.

I agree, I think with the addition of Cook we can move from the curious focus of Baker as the No. 1 option and run some effective sets.

But our rebounding deficiencies will haunt us all year. Even when we have an effective defensive sequence it all too often does not end because we struggle to rebound. Even the boards we get seen to be a monumental chore for our guys just to grab the ball.

I still have some hope Reed and Ward will develop, but the more time passes the more that hope fades.

I usually drive up to College Station whenever LSU plays major sports there (80 miles), but I'm just not in thr mood to deal to listen to Aggies tonight, so I think I'm going to stay home.

I think you will agree with me in that I hope you regret your decision.

You'll probably also agree that you likely won't regret it at all.

If we start conference play with a few losses, CMM might as well start looking for a new job!!!

This. Texas 8&4 is #1 in the country in offensive rebounding and we have struggled rebounding against most of our cupcake non-conf schedule. Expect us to get burned all night.

You sure about that Clark? He has a ridiculous 7 year contract and is not even halfway through year 2
