Said LSU was his dream school but he wished he knew more about the “politics in college” back when he chose LSU and he would have made a different decision.

When asked what it was like playing for BK and staff he said it was “different” and he wasn’t gonna “bash nobody”

When asked about his choice to transfer to Arizona St. he said the coaches were “real genuine” and “they care about me” said he wanted to go to a school that “wanted me as much as I wanted them”

Someone sounds butthurt.

Injuries set him back, had high hopes for him. Seemed like he really wanted to be at LSU, didn't work out obviously

Politics equals: I was told one thing in recruitment, I got there and wasn’t as good, so things changed.

Best are gonna play.

True.

But I can see how 17, 18, 19 year olds sometimes feel "betrayed" after going through the recruiting process. For 2, 3, (maybe more) years you have numerous coaches, from numerous schools, constantly telling you how great you are and how great you are going to be on their team. They see you as a starter. They see you as All-Conference. They see you as an All-American!!! They won't dare say a single thing negative about you.

Then the player signs. And all of the arse-kissing, goofy dancing, dumb photos, etc go away. The coaches break you down and expect you to perform. The guy who a few months earlier told you that you were going to be a force on his team is now telling you that you're not good enough to see the field....all while he is kissing the arse of the next big HS recruit at your position.

As mature adults we know the recruiting sales pitch is full of a TON of disingenuous fluff. So we don't go into something expecting simply to be given the reins to run the show. But that knowledge comes with experience.

LSU was desperate for DBs over the last two years. So I don't think he can truly say he didn't get his shot. But I can see why a kid might think (even if somewhat irrational) he was lied to by the coaches..

I heard that Laterrance tried to bring back the Whig Party but no one on the team wanted to help him.

How dare a player say anything other than glowing amazing things about BK and the way he runs the program.

All I’m going to leave is that Welch got an opportunity this year and looked worse than our other DBs. And they were horrible. I do wish him best of luck at ASU, hate it didn’t work out here

College football is a business. He isn’t ready to deal with that reality.

You’d be in a fetal position puking up McJizz if an outgoing basketball player said anything like this

Sometimes things just don't work out. It's all about timing. Maybe he wasn't ready, but we didn't have a choice but to play him.

Remember in the spring last year when reports were coming out that Welch was gonna be a PROBLEM for offenses. Turns out he was just a PROBLEM for the defense.

He had to have a ‘reason’ so he made one up that didn’t implicate him… normal

nah its not the fact that he said it, its the fact that he's too self inflated to realize that if he was any good, they would have wanted him around.

Kids these days are pumped up by recruiters and the public into thinking they are something they aren't
