As an avid observer, it appears that CBK is playing 3D chess with opposing teams.

In the first half of the game, Perkins plays limited reps to get into the game at LB.

Then, as teams make second half adjustments, (or not because they are in the lead) Kelly and House move HP into either a pass rusher or a spy.

This strategy has paid dividends exponentially on defense.

I present this to say, they know what the frick they are doing. Just like everyone questioned CBK's decisions with JD, they are also questioning his decisions with HP.

The guy knows WTF he is doing so, STFU and enjoy the ride.

I have thought that too in some degree. I figured that with his elite speed that BK/MH are putting him in against tired blockers to make maximum use of it.

Whatever it is, I trust him that's its the best option.

Just like he proved with sticking with JD

So the strategy is to hide your playmaker for first halves and unleash in 2nd half?

To your point, remember what Kiffin said in his post game press conference. Along the lines of, "I figured 40 would come in at some point, and he did."

The strategy is to put a young player with a limited grasp on the scheme in the best position possible to succeed and it’s working.

Half of you morons want him starting at MLB just so you can cuss his name when he doesn’t understand the assignment.

It's like in Rocky 2 when Balboa boxed right handed against Apollo until the 15th round then swapped to southpaw and rolled him for the victory

No you dolt. The strategy is to give one look in the first half and attack your opponent's weakness in the second half. Go back and watch all the games and compare first half defense stats vs second half defense stats.

It's obvious to anyone with any insight that we are winning the 3rd and 4th quarters against our opponents.

Bryce dances around for10 seconds waiting to find an open receiver. Perkins will not let that happen. Let him chase Perkins every play

Perhaps the strategy for bama may be different. I'm just starting my observation through the last few games of the season.

I still think 40 should play every down on defense, offense and special teams.....LOL

He is a generational ball hawk that can make plays at full speed....which is rare.

And it was too late to game plan for his impact.

Exactly. Give him limited responsibility as a pass rusher or soy and reap the rewards.
