Seemed like the right choice when hired, but the meatgrinder of the SEC has eaten up some pretty good coaches before. If he doesn't make it to Omaha this year, how long does he get before Woodward has to reevaluate the situation?

Jesus Christ man. We've won 3 sec series in a row vs top 10 teams. We just brought in the top ranked freshman and transfer class. He won 40 games his first year and were unanimous#1 through 30 games this year.

Coaches aren’t perfect and I’m not gonna argue that he’s been elite between the lines but when you bring in this much talent you’re overwhelmingly improving your odds to win it all. Let’s give him some time, we’re midway through year 2 and are in good position.

It’s his second year and has lost arguable 3 of his best bullpen arms to injury. Honestly what coach do you think overcomes that. And don’t say he should’ve planned for that or got more pitchers; you can’t plan for 3 pitchers to most likely need TJ before the season starts. Plus the season isn’t even over for goodness sake

Pump the brakes dude. We’re all frustrated with the game right now, particularly the injuries and inconsistency of the pitchers. He’s a damn good coach and recruiter.

He missed on a few transfers (white, little, Hurd) and has had some bad luck. The number 1 ranking was based on these transfers so that gave people false expectations. Don’t think we’re quite ready to say he will never win here lol.
