We don’t have a 3rd starter to get us 5-6 innings.

We better stay in the winner’s bracket.

True but do you want to piece meal game 3 verses most likely a 1 seed ? This is where lsu got big games out of guys last year during their run. You can’t win a regional with 2 guys. Someone has to step up. If we have a shot at getting out of a regional, this may be high risk high reward.

I honestly think Moffett is a starter candidate at some point. He went from not being able to land his fastball for strikes to now being able get three pitches across for strikes, in the span of about 13 months. Development isn't linear. I think he'd poised to take off.

Little also proved he can extend and get through the line up a couple times.

When Ack is healthy he can get you 4 or maybe even 5.

We're seeing guys start to step up now and it's awesome to see. If the switch flips for one or two more, watch out.

This reminds me of last year when everyone was convinced that there wasn’t enough bullpen to get through a third game…right on thorough the CWS final game.

I’m not saying it’s probable. I’m just saying that it wouldn’t surprise me.

It will be 1 year ago this weekend when the pitching staff hit "rock bottom" in the Mississippi State series, most notably in Game 3 when we pissed away a 9-run lead.

After that, some of the bullpen guys began to emerge out of nowhere and got hot, like Hurd, Ackenhausen, Cooper, Guidry, et al.

We need that to happen again soon. Maybe Little is becoming one of those guys. We need a few more of those to have a chance.

If you saw my posts during the summer league, you know I'm a big Moffett guy.

I would live to see Jay try and extend him next Sunday. See if you can get 4 out of him as a starter. Can't be worse than what you've thrown out there.

Coleman has proved in the past he can go through the order once. Every now and then he does it a second time, but he's a gamble. Ack has shown he can get you 5 if he's on. Little has looked incredible.

There's definitely something there in the pen.

I did. I appreciate you doing all that in the recruiting thread. I was watching the games, but my descriptions could only tell some of the story. You and I were both high on him based on summer league. His numbers there were very deceiving. He was throwing much better than it looked like.

Thats a big if, if Ed 0 2.0 is still in charge

Who started this Ed O 2.0 bullshite? He coaches a different sport. You sound like a moron. Johnson makes more in game decisions than Ed O makes in a season.
