Of course it did.

Two things can be motivating factors. Multi-generational wealth and cementing your legacy are probably pretty big drivers for extremely successful people.

It's a 3 year rebuild, 4 rebuild and a 5 year rebuild.

You didn't know?

You would think he wants that crown jewel but if you look at our coaches it looks more like he wants to hangout. We don’t really have anyone that other elite teams would kill for on our staff.

We also seem to not be willing to bid on big time guys.

We weren't going to win the national championship this year with this team. The right side of the line is suspect. The defensive backfield is the weakest we have had in 20+ years and there are a slew of new coaches and players. We are still a couple of years away from title hopes.

Fans are full of false hope based on overperformance from last year's team, but that just proves the abilities of this coach. He will get the most out of this team and I think he will win a national championship or two in his tenure. Be patient, it took us 50 years to get our second title. We got lucky that Les inherited a fully formed team and that O inherited a generational talent like Joe Burrow. Let Kelly build his team. We will get there. He is twice the coach of Les and O.

Les & O did it primarily through recruiting success & some great assistant coaches. The transfer portal & NIL have changed that landscape, but net, net, you have to have a roster that can compete & assistant coaches who can put players in positions to succeed. I see no reason BK can’t do it here.

Because the roster was so depleted, this will be a 3-4 year turnaround.

Norvell did it in 2 without the benefit of the portal. BK didn't start off with "rebuild" money, he's been getting paid "National Championship" money since day 1.

He hasn't been out-talented in these terrible losses, he's been outcoached. Except for UGA.

this is what I say but this fan base (tiger droppings) expects a Wendy's drive-thru of wins. Order and get it. They want to now. It's childish and sad.

Mike Norvell went 3-6 and 5-7 in his first two years and was on the hot seat going into last year.

It's weird, almost like it takes time to dig yourself out of the gutter when you take over programs that pretty much bottom out.

They’ll need to run the table , which isn’t very likely.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying but we are not a "couple years away". There are zero reasons why we shouldn't be competing for a national title next year and even this year if a few breaks go our way. For next year:

1. 12 team Playoff. Much easier to make
2. Play USC and UCLA next year which we can win both and would be huge for our resume.
3. Get Bama and Oklahoma at home.
4. Nuss will be leading a seasoned and loaded team. Only quesiton mark will be Dline.

Dude we were with them for 3 quarters with two BS redzone trips that should have resulted in 10-14 points. We could beat them

I keep coming back to that fact that he was 4-11 vs top 10 @ ND & he is now 2-3 vs top 10 here.

It is worth noting that he was only making 2.7 million at ND and LSU tripled his salary.

LOL

Dude, there's no way he was making only 2.7 mil. That may have been in money paid by the school directly, but I'm sure they had some other ways to pad that and bring it more in line with what other top coaches make.

Come on now.

He has won two national titles at Grand Valley State in 2002 and 2003. I am afraid we got Les Miles and Coach Orgeron post national championship coaching.
