Known Alexis a long time, this is 100% true unfortunately. She gets in her own way sometimes.

My take away from this thead is Alexis Morris = Michael Jordan

Well you lack reading comprehension if you think I’m comparing their physical abilities. Let me spell it out for you, ANY great player or above average player has attitude. You don’t think Caitlin Clark has ATTITUDE on the court I guess.

With her coaches dating all the way back to high school, no. She went to a small private school here because no one could coach her, and she could go somewhere she could just do whatever she wanted and act the way she wanted to act on the court. I like Alexis, she’s an incredible player and I’ve personally witnessed her treat the young men I coached that went on to play D1 basketball, like a bunch of kids on JV. She is an absolute legend here, but even she will tell you I think that she isn’t the best at taking criticism. It’s not a harmful attitude, it’s just not a healthy one. That doesn’t mean she’s any less of a person, she is an incredible person that does a lot for our community. I hope she can make an adjustment and make a team because she has the talent to be one of the best guards in the WNBA.

At the ripe age of 41 and knowing he was the greatest player of all time by that time, Michael Jordan asked his coach Doug Collins if he still believed in him at his old age. Michael did have an attitude and an ego, but it was never larger than the coach or the team.

Here is an article where she is drawing praise from the star of the team: LINK

quote:

Former Iowa standout Kate Martin is making quite an impression in Las Vegas. Aces star Kelsey Plum had nothing but praise for the former Hawkeye, saying she's an "amazing sponge," and that "she makes people better" on the court.

quote:

"And when I say 'money,' it's not just about scoring and stuff, she's just in the right place at the right time. She just makes people better. And that's what Becky values, that's what our coaching staff values and that's why she's gonna be a great asset to our team."

Sounds like her coach and teammate love her play. What makes you think Morris is better?

Didn't Morris only make it through a practice or two before she was cut?

Martin is taller and a better shooter and rebounder. Maybe some of those reasons.

If you had 10 seconds left and down 1 point and the ball, I'm taking Morris over Martin every single time. But that's just me. Attitude or Not.

Neither one is going to make a team because of their ability to make game winning shots.

Well with I’ve seen Morris take over games at LSU. Go rewatch the 4th quarter of the championship game against Iowa. Morris absolutely destroyed Iowa that quarter and ripped their heart out. Martin was non-existent.
