I love that kid and his energy, but he got to ramped up right there and let his emotions get to him.

He choked like a cat with a hairball. He looked extremely uncomfortable and rattled…

He got called off by his senior catcher who made a shite throw that should’ve been the 3rd out.

Why is it his fault again?

He should have finished the game with 0 earned runs given up. I wouldn’t call it a massive choke job.

He did finish the game with 0 earned runs given up. He made a pitch to win and his defense let him down. 2 unearned runs

You’re a dumbass it’s hard to win on the road in the sec! Tommy has to touch 3rd guess he choked there to ! Touch the bag Tommy ! To call him to amped up stfu!! I love it ! It’s the small things that got them beat! Little was left in a little to long neither little or herring were on tonight it’s hard to be perfect when you have no room for error!! Milazzo should have set his feet there to make the throw worst case it’s tied there! This isn’t about one guy it was multiple guys that didn’t execute the small things !

Bases loaded was his fault. Fielding that ball was all on the catcher. Basic baseball.

People say this but the same guy loaded the bases in the 9th. We had a 4 run lead entering the 8th. There was no need to go straight to Herring with a 4 run lead. Hindsight is nice to have but it’s not realistic. You want to save Herring if possible and a 4 run lead with 6 outs to win is a pretty good time to try to do that.

What’s important is to win game one. Herring has a 1.8 era in league play. He’s not likely to give up 5 runs in 2 innings. Jay gambled and lost.

The best odds for LSU to win the game was Herring to take the ball with a lead. He took the ball with a two run lead.

People acting like the coaches should have done something different are fricking stupid.

I believe the home plate ref had a big say in how this game shook out at the end. You could tell the inconsistent strike zone was getting to herring, now the coaches should have realized this as well. You could see his attitude totally shift

That’s how he looks all the time.
