Gage Jump basically had a short outing and should be ready to go in Game 1 of SEC tournament. That could be huge to get in a regional!

I’m just glad the storm let him finish the 6th inning.

Jay giving each relief pitcher just one inning shows he’s trying to win all 3.

I don’t know if I’d consider 83 pitches a “short outing”. I’d love for him to be ready but I’m not convinced Jay would let him go on 4 days rest.

He should be fine. If we sweep, we won't have to worry about 4 days from now.

Yeah, he went a day early this week. Tuesday would be 2 days earlier than that, so 3 days earlier than his start against Bama. If we sweep Ole Miss, I don't think we see Jump until Wednesday or Thursday if we make it. Gotta also think about the Game 1s of the regionals being played on Friday and Saturday. He's not gonna want to throw Jump 3 days early Tuesday and then not pitch again for 10 or 11 days. He's pitching really well lately, and I doubt Jay's gonna want to screw up his schedule that much unless he absolutely has to. And if we sweep Ole Miss, I don't think he absolutely has to .

If we DON't sweep Ole Miss, then we're gonna have to win more than 1 game in Hoover anyway, probably more than 2. Even though it'd be an elimination game, no need to burn Jump on short rest against the worst team we'll play in Hoover when he'll only be able to give us probably 5 innings max. I don't know what the plan will be in Hoover, and I don't think Jay does either right now. He's all in for the sweep against Ole Miss.

SOOOO much depends on Holman in Game 2. If he can get back to not walking people, keep his pitch count down, and go 7 or 8, we'll be set up fantastically for Game 3. If he can only go 5 or 6, I think we can still finish off Game 2, but Game 3 becomes a big concern. Maybe some guys who'll that will be their last game ever at the Box step up and we're the ones that go out and do the 10-run ruling. We'll see. Gotta win Game 2 1st, though.

No doubt, he'll be on the bump for gm 1 in the SEC tournament. It's tourney time boys, every arm up.

I agree, I don't see this happening at all. I think they were hoping to save herring as much as possible that is why it was crucial for Guidry to come in and do the job. If they play today, hopefully our bats will explode and Hollman can give us 6 and let dutton/moffett close with big enough lead....some where along the way if we are to have a chance, Hurd is going to have to show up prime....maybe knowing he was successful in postseason last year will give him confidence.

Hurd gonna have to show up at some point for us to advance, imo.
