Its amazing how fans can be so biased about their own team. I would have sworn we had more drops than anyone

ETA: Graph was made with 2 games remaining. Numbers might have shifted slightly

I mean we are for him. We were just wrong that he was being screwed over by his receivers

That was from before the Rice game - not that it would change things a ton probably, but that's the game where the receivers dropped 6 passes in the 1st half

tRant saying Burrow has played with a bunch of 2 star scrubs is a very interesting theme.

It's not about just catching the ball, but getting open too.

Bc the "drops" were mostly inaccurate throws bc he was running for his life most of the year. JJets' had one or two bad drops we all remember against Rice, but the WR play was fine besides that.

A few things:

1. I don't trust that BS film room. They have had some sketchy data in the past.
2. Drops are drops. Just because another QB had more, doesn't change reality.
3. The timing of drops is what probably makes people remember them more.

YEah it's hard to re-run the numbers but basically they claim he had about 15 drops the first 10 games this year which honestly just doesnt seem correct. He had 6 in the first half against Rice though. If you re-do the stat after the Rice game and just those 6 drops, his % goes from 11.9% to about 15.7%.

We just need one guy to step up as the consistent #2. Right now, my money is on Chase. I would love to see Dee Anderson step up, but I've been saying that for like three years now.

Also -- more Sullivan, less Dillon. Nothing against Dillon, just see Sullivan as more consistent.

But God forbid someone with the last name Jefferson makes a mistake around here.

Chase and Marshall will be your top two receivers next year. Jefferson will be a solid slot guy but he won’t repeat as the go to guy.

I haveno idea why you think

1. Jefferson will be moved to the slot when he's played outside all year
2. Marshall will pass him up when Jefferson clearly was way way ahead of him

Stop going by recruiting rankings and watch how they play. Chase finally came on very late this year but what did Marshall show that he's going to suddenly send Jefferson to a position he's never played?

I';m not saying Marshall is a bust after 1 year but he definitely didnt show any signs of even pushing Jefferson all season long.

It has more to do with when the drops occurred rather than frequency.

Maybe we should hire Sullivan back.

had a bunch of drops early, but that can be expected with young receivers. they turned it around late for sure
ETA: also Burrow threw the ball away a TON at the beginning of the year

I'd like to see the updated numbers for the whole season, and, percents are nice, but what is the absolute number of drops for the year?

Is this good or bad for Joe?
If it wasn’t his receivers dropping the ball then his low completion rate really is from his inaccurate passing..
I’m trying to see where we are going with this.
