Way to go Big Dumbass.

Former NBA forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis was sentenced by a federal judge Thursday to 40 months in prison, plus three years' supervised release, for his Nov. 2023 conviction in an alleged scheme to defraud the league's health care benefits plan.

More than 20 people, including numerous former players such as Terrence Williams and Keyon Dooling, have been sentenced in the case for filing false medical claims with the NBA Players' Health and Benefit Welfare Plan.

Davis, who helped the Boston Celtics win the 2008 championship, was also ordered to pay $80,000 in restitution. The conditions of his supervised release include attending a financial management class and mandatory drug treatment.

Davis' attorney, Sabrina Shroff, declined comment.

The “Knucklehead” definition in the dictionary has Big Baby’s picture right next to it.

Glen, why do you drink?
Why do you roll smoke?

It’s just an ol’…family tradition.

It just baffles me how a successful professional athlete, who even won the highest trophy in the league, would ever consider doing something like this to earn pennies on the dollar to what $ he actually makes.

I agree with you, but he probably spent every penny he made playing basketball.

Federal time too. He’s not getting out soon.
I thought the Temple family would have taught him better

You’d be surprised at how many people would drive 100 miles to earn a dishonest quarter when they could have walked next door and earned an honest dollar.

His momma has to be somewhat proud he graduated the family into white collar crime instead of crackhead crime.

I’m sorry but humanity’s obsession with locking up nonviolent people is disgusting.

I’m all for the restitution and probation.

After earning $34m+ in the NBA, this fool reminds of the old song "Fool and His Money"!

There has to be consequences when someone commits white collar crime. If a person gets no jail time and has no money to give, they will get to walk away scot-free after stealing other people’s money through white collar crime.

Are you ok with someone stealing all the money in your 401K, spending it all, and then getting no consequences when caught because the money’s all gone?

I cooked for him in the Summer of 2011. I would get to his house at 6am and cook him 5/6 healthy meals (protein and veggies). By the time the Summer was over he locked pretty good.

I could tell he wasn't too strick with his diet because he would leave Raisin Caine boxes on the counter and his workout buddy lost 20 LBS from eating the food I cooked for Glen.

His favorite dish was my white beans...he called me after he had them for the 1st time.

Me, my friend Fred, and Fred's son (teammates with Glen in high school) flew out to D.C. when the Clippers played at Washington. Garrett was playing for the Wizards and Glen was with the Clippers.

He should take this prison time to get back in shape.
