Beth actually held a runner at third in the 14th inning rather than sending her to be thrown out ten feet from the plate.

That was amazing to watch.

Bama was on the bubble of hosting a regional before losing this game too. Last projection from a couple days ago had them at #16 national seed and LSU at #9.

Hopefully a win against SEC #1 seed UT tomorrow gets LSU a top 8 seed so they’ll be in position to host a super regional.

5/6 Softball Regional Projections: LSU #9

Don’t think most realize how competitive the SEC is in softball. There’s 13 teams in the SEC (no Vandy) and this regional projection linked here has all 13 teams in a regional, and the majority of the league hosting a regional with 8 SEC host sites.

Not to mention the top 2 teams in the country are joining the league next year too so all 15 programs in the SEC will be amongst the top programs in the country. Going to be hard to keep up if Beth’s regression continues each year like it has trended since she got here. She had us in something like 4 WCWS in the first 5 years then none in the past 5 years and last year didn’t even get out of a regional.
