Any update on Ruddell and Mitchell?

Someone made a vague post yesterday claiming “his locker has been cleaned out” and it wasn’t clear if he was talking about Ruddell or Mitchell. I was looking last night and for sure didn’t see Mitchell. Thought I saw Ruddell but wasn’t certain.
Wondering if anyone has heard anything or was at the game last night and saw either one of them.

I took it as directed towards Ruddell
He was listed on live stats, the lineup sheet that the media gets & when I looked yesterday was still on the roster
I never saw Ruddell & I went back & watched Jones HR a couple of times to see if I could find him

I was looking for both when they showed CJJ having the team meeting in the dugout. For sure didn’t see Mitchell. Thought I saw Ruddell when they showed everyone congratulating Neal in the dugout after his HR. It was very quick and I couldn’t say 100% it was him.

Pretty sure I see Mitchell in the post game picture. Can't find Ruddell. MJ Seo is in there. Dylan Thompson is also in the pic, #51.

Mitchell was dressed out and present last night. He spent most of the game down in the bullpen standing in as a batter for the relievers and fetching batter's gear from Chief at first base.

Ruddell left the team Monday. Locker cleared out and gone. Best of luck to him if he attempts to play elsewhere.

Can you at least say how close your source is to the situation?
It doesn’t make a lot of sense for him to leave on his own before the end of the season

with exams ending any player that wants to move on will likely do so and you will see some leave now that school semester is over

Correct. Was not on post season roster. I actually do not think he has played during any SEC games. He was not in Baton Rouge yesterday more less at the game.

I guess I didn’t realize some guys already knew they weren’t going to make the postseason roster before the season ends which is dumb of me to think especially if they didn’t get much playing time

Mitchell was definitely at the game. He was standing in batters box in the bullpen. I don’t understand why more players don’t do this to help recognize pitches and spin. It’s only going to make him better. Looks like he put on some weight as well. Check out these swings he posted on his social media. Not sure why CJJ didn’t use him this year, but I’m excited to see him play.

He was redshirted last year and did not get to go to Omaha ( some of the other redshirts did). Very few opportunities this year. Just did not work out.
