Would it have been possible to have the consistant 3rd starter if Shores was 100% ready to go, i mean for me it would have been Holman, Shores or Anderson, and Jump on Sunday, right now i'd put Little in the Sunday Spot since he's got the hot hand and the SEC experience.

With the gift of hindsight… why would you say Anderson over Jump on Saturday?

It amazes me out of the entire pitching staff that we can’t even find a warm body to throw there that can give us 4-5 innings. I’m not sure that they ever gave Coleman a shot there. Are we the only team in the SEC without a name for #3 starter? Hatcher Turd has been a disappointment this year as he should be there as well.

He is the shutdown reliever. We likely don’t win Saturday if he doesn’t pitch.

Coming into the season it was Jump, Holman and Hurd thought to be the starters in some order. Hurd didn’t have it so that fricked up the rotation.

Coleman was given plenty of opportunities, especially early in the season. He showed small flashes, but he just hasn't been the same pitcher since his injury. Control and maintaining velocity has been a major issue for him.

Because thats my opinion and im sticking to it , you start anderson on saturday if they work with him more and get that curve working like he did against southeastern and the hitting backs him up , you got jump for the sunday win

I hope they start using Little in a closer role, if he can handle an inning or two for a couple games in a row. This could pay dividends in the post-season.

except you don't close out that game versus aNm unless he's in relief. so, no.

But what have you seen that makes you think our Mid Week Starter should be on saturday and our Friday Night Starter should be on sunday?

IMO, what has happened is that we became so desperate for wins we've been forced to use our 3rd best arm (Herring) in G1 or G2. But across 27 innings, Herring is only pitching about 3 innings (just guessing at that).

This weekend, against a good hitting Aggie team, we had 25 of 27 innings of solid pitching. If we could figure a way to get Ack or Herring to fill in those two, we likely sweep.

We have enough pitching for two games. We should throw whoever on Sunday and pray.

either you leave it with Ack (seniority) or you hand it over to Herring.

Herring will be a conference starter soon. might as well give him the shot now.

your "conference" guys next year are

Jump
Herring
Anderson
Shores
Cam Johnson

Those 5 guys are your future.

Noot we still havent seen. Jake Brown could be a Mark Kotsay type guy

but as far as this year give the ball to the hot hands who are

Moffett

Jump is pitching himself into the second round, and while it looks like Herring may be coming back based on having a Cape Cod league roster spot lined up, it's far from a guarantee.
